RE: Darkness surrounds me

Woke up with a panic attack from a nightmare and trying to calm down. Why do they always take so much out of you. Trying really hard not to SH at the moment. Safety plan not working great and need to try and distract myself. Need to not do anything, got to see mental health team again today and don't want to be admitted.

hi @Former-Member hang in there you can do it. Keep trying all your strategies, as one will work, also remind yoursefl it was just a dream, not sure if it helps but worth a try. Try some deep breaths but I am sure you have the tool sto get you through. 🙂

Ahh crap, shouldn't have done that. I always seem to give in. So angry at myself now.

just annoyed at myself because I gave in. I think I need to change my safety plan, it doesn't work properly.

That's good if you can try something else within your safety plan @Former-Member ....

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope, I reviewed my safety plan with the MHT the other day but not going well so think I need to change it. God I can't wait for my psych to be back from holidays.

Im ok now, have tended to things (I know we have to be careful about what we say in terms of SH so I think that is ok). They just leave me so exhausted afterwards.

Nah hubby still asleep. I try not to wake him, he doesn't really understand them (although he is getting more used to them) so try to shield him away from it all.

Im just angry because I have to see the MHT today and really don't want to be admitted. I don't think it would do me any good. I just need to get the SH under control.
