@Former-Member I've heard you're not so not good this morning. Is everything ok?

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

I'm ok @Sans911 just woke up about 6 with a new flashback, one I hadn't had before. Just rattled me thats all and had to implement my safety plan.

How are you this morning? You are not getting much sleep at all lately. Hope you can have a rest this afternoon.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member I'm really pleased to hear your safety plan is working. Gosh, it's really hard for you right now isn't it with these new flashbacks? How are you now? Are you safe?

I went back to sleep for just under 2 hours, but I woke with such a start as I thought it was much, much later, but it was before 8am. It was quite cold last night too, which didn't help, and I've packed up my blankets of course. And I had a killer headache, which I had all night, but ramped up after I went back to sleep. It's settling now with pain relief.

I'm back in bed with a coffee and breakfast, which the cat always shares with me. Naughty I know but he's so damn cute, I can't help spoiling him. Most of the time I have cereal for breakfast with fruit & yoghurt. He dips his paw into the yoghurt (or milk) and then licks it. He was a rascal during the night as he got into the recycling bag and ripped into it. So there's paper everywhere.

I've another half an hour or so before I need to get up for a shower and get ready, so I'm here for a chat if you want.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Sans911thank you. I've just had enough of them. And no one of course can tell me when I will stop having them. It's like my brain has saved the worst for last and just when I think they are done, another new one pops up. It is what it is, I can't do anything about it. Obvisously the have to come out. I not good now and still working the urges to try and stay safe.

I can imagine you laying in bed with your cat. Nothing wrong with sharing your breaky with him, he seems to be a good companion for you.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member I've only had my cat about 3 months so his character is still developing as he gets used to me (and my house mate). He's so interesting & annoying- sometimes at the same time! I think he's a bit bored this morning as he's running around, then meows loudly, and comes back to me for a nose rub or head scratch. He does have many toys, which he's a bit rough with at times and wrecks them, but he has a short attention (he sounds like a typical male, right? 😀).

He loves sitting on the window ledge, and will often sit there for ages watching for birds outside. At night time when the blinds are closed, all I see is his grey tail hanging out. His other favourite spot is my tallboy, which faces the front garden windows, and again, he stays there for a long time. I could talk about him all day, but I'd probably bore you to tears.

I had 2cats previously, both black and unrelated, and they were put to eternal sleep after short illnesses. I was overseas at the time, and my mother was caring for them, so she had the terrible job of taking them to the vet within a year of each other. I was devastated, and griefed for a long time. It's been about 6 and 7years since they've gone, and only because I've settled a little have I felt comfortable getting another cat.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member unfortunately I have to drag myself out of this comfortable bed, and get in the shower. I know you're doing it tough again today, but I hope you've enjoyed my subtle distraction (did you even realise that's what I was doing?).

Please look after yourself & take care ok. I'll be back later this afternoon.
