The Community Garden :)

The Community Garden :)

Being outside and enjoying the beautiful plants and flowers that are about is definitely something that's keeping me going at the moment, so I thought it might be nice to grow our own garden here where we can all enjoy it.

Please add any pictures, links, chats about anything you're enjoying in your garden, have found on a walk, wish you had in your garden etc. Or just enjoy wandering around 🙂

Re: The Community Garden :)

Don't be sorry @Former-Member - I knew you meant no offence. I love receiving posts from you 💕 There are so many different colours now but I think the white, yellow and apricot ones give off the most scent. I am sitting upstairs overlooking the bush around us and the scent of our orange blossoms down stairs is making its way up wafting through. My nostrils are having a real feast lol. Nothing more beautiful than nature at its best (except the kindness and love in a person's heart).

I love being surrounded by nature - lucky enough to have a sea and tree change here. I smiled when I read about your wild gooseberries and raspberries - I use to have a fruiting mulberry tree when little and i would have a very notable dark maroon ring imprinted around my mouth leaving the tree bear when they were in season - a dead give-away lol. xxx

Hi @CherryValentine ..... 👋

I don’t know whether you are into gardening, but garden ornaments are included here as well ..... and if you have “littlies” they might like some of those ......

Re: The Community Garden :)

This was with you in mind @CheerBear 😜. I ended up at Bunnings after coffee. To my delight they had these in store and I felt like a goose but photographed them. I didn’t buy any but it bought a smile looking at them. I think violas and pansies are becoming one of my favourite flowers, I just can’t look past the purples. Bit ironic my favourite flower isn’t purple and neither is my second favourite flower 🤔😳 (daffodil and cherry blossom). I think @Pepsimax favourite flower is daffodil from memory too... but I could be wrong.

Anyway I was wondering around the garden centre when I found myself talking aloud to a couple of plants. 😳😳😳😳😳. I was saying that I thought they’d love to come home with me, just to show where my brain was at one was a tree that grows to 10m and said on the tag suitable for large parks or farms 😳😳😳🤔. I have a 600m square block of land. Anyway I got caught talking to the tree by someone and then realised I was in public and it’s not cool to talk to objects.....especially if your asking them to come home with you 😳. It made me smile and listen for sirens in case someone had rung to take me to the psych ward 😜.

My adventure ended with me getting sucked into buying two plants from the need rescuing rack 🤗

thought id share this with @Faith-and-Hope, @Bunniekins, @Former-Member, @Sans911, @Shaz51. No need to respond. Just sharing my goose moment and my purple.

Some of the purple joys from today 💜🤗

Re: The Community Garden :)

Oh, goodness those are so pretty @Teej I too love the gentleness that violas and pansies and violets too, seem to have. I have violets growing but dont' do so well with pansies.

Wonderful story Teej, I also talk to the plants when at Bunnings hah. And I get sucked in by the poor 'need rescuing' shelf of plants too! That made me smile lots.

Thank you for sharing. it made me smile on a day that I really needed a lift, even though it's taken me a while to get back to you.
