PHILOSOPHY

PHILOSOPHY

http://www.philosothon.org/index.html

Just curious to start a conversation about philosophy, especially the distinctions between Creative, Critical and Caring or Collaborative thinking.

I have a handout I cannot upload but this is a link to a movement for philosophy in schools which could spark discussion, if people are interested.

I think that it is a good idea to look at thinking styles and being able to shift between them rather than lobbing another label on people. It might help with various ideations.

Re: PHILOSOPHY

Do you think one persons thoughts, actions and emotions can effect another persons thoughts, actions and emotions. Which is to deliberately effect another persons thoughts, actions and emotions. In an act of pyschopathetic manipulation and control to benefit their own desire for strength and power over the enemy? If you answer yes. I have a second question. Why would one person. Not turn the nature of this scenario into a good thing for their enemy?

Re: PHILOSOPHY

And of course. Even if this scenario has happened behinda persons back. Who is perceived as the potential enemy or threat. The vibes and aura of what has taken place. Whether it be thoughts, actions or emotions. Has the power to destroy and give reason and needing of forgiveness once again. How do you stop a cycle such as this? Or is it a case of fearing whom has control of what we most need? Whether it be mental, psychical or spiritual based. What a game to play...

Re: PHILOSOPHY

I like creative and critical thinking. Edward de Bono comes to mind when I think of creative thought. He is known to have orignated lateral thinking. I like his quote...if you never change your mind why have one? . Diane Halpern's book 'Thinking critically about critical thinking' ...is mind boggling lol although I do see critcal thinking as an objective analysis and evaluation of an issue to get a 'thought' or a judgement if you like it may be said about 'collaborative thinking' to some degree whereas the latter is for increased performance and utilizing resources. I do like creative and critical thinking. Its got me stumped on 'caring thinking'...no idea ...lol s***t not sure why I think that's funny but I do...I'm working on it

Re: PHILOSOPHY

All good things begin with sacrifice. He knows the pain he has caused the world. Because he knows the pain the world has caused him. But too think one is more beneficial for himself then the other. Is too become apart of a dying breed. Although inflicted severely bye both sides. There is not many choices he has which can change the tides. To help others realize the same thing. Is now a priority which has little comprise. With the objective to subdue the pain from one side to the other. And too and fro. Alas, it may just be nature. And alas again, sacrifice may be the only answer.

Re: PHILOSOPHY

Would fear of judgement make you back down from such a game? Or does the taste of insanity, entice you back for more?

Hi @eudemonism

Sorry, I cant answer your questions at the moment. Too scattered myself. Sometimes I unpack my thoughts and others times I have to rein them in.

I was surprised by Caring Thinking @Neelix and thought it more a "feeling" style. Then lobbed in Collaborative Thinking cos that sat better with me. I prefer Caring as being manifest in the world rather than cerebral ... but I get that there are ???

Re: PHILOSOPHY

It's OK @Appleblossom sometimes playing with grey matter is the best way for me to deal with reality and the world out there. Without getting to involved. Not for everyone. Some like to play with reality itself...

Re: PHILOSOPHY

It seems that there is perhaps a side of life which is unproven and i will call a realm that is spiritual of nature and i will also say. Has a ferocious power and strength that comes along with it. Which cannot be overcome. Bye any of the other realms. This realm is like the key too a door way which leads to everything you want in life. But ironically. You are already on both sides of this door. And know everything there is too know. About what lay behind either side. And perhaps there be no key for this door. For anyone out there. Perhaps there only be guidance and insight through words which explain what it is all like. And help either side combine into a defined silhouette of what things may be like on the other side of the door. Of which you are already on both sides. Perhaps acceptance is the key.

Re: PHILOSOPHY

There is what has happened too you. Be it good or bad. And there is what you have done. Be it good or bad also. And each flow of energy causing four different reactions. And processes which you go through. And the same goes for all others. Although you can subconsciously tell what is happening to others and yourself. It seems to be a power and force which is control bye the fivine and uncontrollable realm. There is perhaps no need to be a certain way. When others be it for you. And i think, one of these certain ways takes over every person. And defines everything about them. We maybe drawn to certain people or powers that be. That have their certain ways already established. Because they serve a purpose and ease the burden of things that are out of our control. Nor that any of it will matter at the end of the day. Although we are programmed to elevate discomfort in every possible way. Which is sometimes caused bye other people and their ways.
