Well I'm finally home (again). 4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time. My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time. I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final. My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon. Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed. Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night. And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away). So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning. @Zoe7@soul@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@Bast@oceangirl@outlander@Former-Member@Teej@BlueBay@Owlunar
Had a meltdown over possibly going home tomorrow. Nurse gave me PRN calmer. Didn't do anything. Big cries. Fell asleep on my bed. Then my psychiatrist came. He said I'm not leaving tomorrow. He spoke to the Workcover Psychiatrist last Friday - a friend of his. Saying I wasn't ready to leave. They just haven't done the paperwork. Big relief!!! Am exhausted from all the worry.

Hi @utopia - that's positive news... you shouldn't be at the mercy of Workcover though. They shouldn't keep people hanging like that. Is there a long-term plan? It must be so frustrating - I hope this is the beginning of a permanent fix for you.

Re: HOME
Total exhaustion. Normally after such a high anxiety day - I sleep for 14 plus hours. Not possible here. Workmen are using jackhammers at one end of the hospital. Workmen outside my bedroom doing something. All making noise - starting at 7am. Not interested in any groups this morning, so will try to sleep.

Good plan to catch up on some sleep.

Re: HOME
Thinking of you @utopia I get you about depression and anxiety being nightmarish. One or other is bad enough but together - truly horrible I hope you feel more rested soon. Wishing you well.

Re: HOME
Hey @utopia - glad that your stay has been extended. Not glad that jackhammers are annoying you.
Hope you got some restful time today and are feeling better. Those meds take time to kick in. Take it easy.

Re: HOME
Crying buckets. Triggered. Just saw one of the patients, a beautiful gentle soul be told she's getting CTO'd and moved public hospital locked ward. There were two nurses with her, letting her have her lasy cigarette in the smoko courtyard. The rest of us had to leave the courtyard. There were 2 ambos waiting to take her. Then there were 4 cops, all putting on their blue gloves - ready to manhandle her if need be. I couldn't stay and watch. I couldn't even say goodbye. When I was admin at the community mental health Service - I would have to ring the police and ambulance if someone didn't want to go to hospital and was going to be held against theirwishes. I used to see it all the time. And I hhated it. I hated watching the patients fight it.I hated tje way some police had no ccompassion and treated them like dirt. I hated seeing tje fear in the patients eyes. And then I remembered the old bugger psychiatrist who tried to have me committed to a locked ward at the public hospital and how I've never been so frightened in my life (even worse than my workplace incident. So all these memories have come back. And the tears flow. For everyone I've seen manhandled into locked ward. For my story of almost ending up there. And for this young beautiful girl who was so frightened. It has to be one of the most awful things you can witness. When people are no longer treated with dignity. Came to my ward to ask for a PRN. Even the nurse was almost in tears. Before I told her what was triggering me, she said to me that she hates having to do that. That it never gets any easier. She was one of the two nurses trying to calm the girl down. Mental Health sucks. I really wish it didn't exist for any of us.
