HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia - try to put all that cr*p out of your mind as much as you can.

Now is the time to concentrate on becoming a happier and healthier version of you. It's what you want to be and with some meds changes and some therapy, I am sure that things will improve for you.

The best way to show them that this was the correct decision is to emerge refreshed and renewed.

You can do it. Hope you have settled in well.

Re: HOME

I agree @utopia ..... I hope your sister gets to see and understand how supportive the hospital stay is for you and takes a lead out of your book ..... but in the meantime, try to ignore all the background cr*p and just concentrate on you .....

Hi @utopia

Good to read that you made it to the hospital okay. Hoping you start to see improvement in your mood very soon. Is it mainly rest whilst you change over meds in the next couple of days or is there a programme of activities you will be following? Thinking of you too.

Re: HOME

@utopia

You are following through with instructions from your specialist.....

this is about you..

if your sister does not like it regardless of the situation with her own health...that is her issue..not your issue...

you focus on your health...resting and allowing the staff to be there for you...this is what you need..

well done on your son feeding the dogs after school..he might even feel good about being involved...a way that he can be there for his mum and be cool at the same time..he might not tell you but does not mean that he doesnt think about you..

let go of everything..you are in a safe place to do so

take care

Re: HOME

Mum sejt me a text message. Telling me she hopes I feel better soon and to concentrate on getting well. My son and dogs are fine.
She told me to totally ignore the message from my sister. My sister must have told her what she said. I didn't. Mum said that she and my son understand. She just wants me to come back as myself again.
So good message.

@utopia

that is so beautiful....your mum really does love you just struggles with her own anxiety about life...

probably worries about you and your son and words are just blurted out..

my mum has been like that with me...I am very sensitive and have felt very hurt over the years by my mum and things that she has said to me..

now that she is nearly 92 and in the nursing home she is struggling...she always ends the telephone conversations with love you my darling...never called me that before she went in there..

you can get on with your letting go now...

so hapy for you

Re: HOME

That must have been a very welcome message to receive @utopia. Sometimes people come out with some really stupid stuff and don't realise the detrimental effects it has on others.

Good on her for realising that you are in need of help and is wishing you well.

We all want you to come back as yourself too. Sending you lots of love and positive thoughts.
