HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Thinking of you @utopia

Can someone check to see if there are any refuge type places with foster type carers (I can't think of what they are called) that help with looking after pets in situations like this near you?

Just letting you know I will be off board for a while, busy day. Take care of you.

Re: HOME

So sorry to hear it @utopia .....

I am wondering who else could come and care for your dogs ? I have a SIL who does volunteer work for the RSPCA and takes home animals that need nursing for a while. Maybe one of their volunteers could come and take care of your fur babies (feeding, checking on them, walking them).

Re: HOME

Don't live anywhere near a shelter or rspca. Waiting for a kennel to call me back.
I catch the 8 something train in the morning to Melbourne. So someone will have to take my dogs to the kennel in the big town.

Re: HOME

I'd look after them in an instant @utopia. My pooch would really have her nose out of joint though.

Is there anyone who can just come and feed them?

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia ...bugger, I wrote a long reply and it disappeared into the ether. I was thinking maybe workcover should take responsibility for putting the dogs in a boarding kennel? Ultimately you are their responsibility and all that goes with you. I've given up trying explain MH and it's cyclical nature to non-sufferers. They don't seem to grasp the concept that it's not constant and their will be times when you can be fine for months or longer and then you sink back down again. You're in a down phase at the moment and you need support to get thorugh it. Despite what your mum says I'm sure she has your best interests at heart and will help as best she can - don't think I'd say the same about your sister. I've done the drug withdrawal thing a few times without support and it's not easy dealing with chemical mayhem in your brain and kids and everything else at the same time so hospital could be a real benefit if that's what your psychiatrist is suggesting. I know you'll get through this, you've done it before... we're all behind you.
