HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Morning @Sahara. I guess my son was used to me going to work from when he was little. So since my workplace incident - things are so different for him.
He notices the changes in me - but can't express what he fears. So he takes it out on me. Typical for a teenager.
Yes you had a bit of trouble typing PAST. lol. Happens to all of us. I have a small phone with little tiny keyboard letters. So it can be awkward to type and hit the right letters.

My poor little Maltese cross Shitzu had to go to vet today. She got a huge grass seed in her eye. Let to a cyst, conjunctivitis and a scratched lens. They couldn't do anything as she was in so much pain - so they had to give her a general anesthetic to remove it. Poor baby.
She's doing well now. Will need to put ointment in her eye twice a day for 5 days and then her eye should be back to normal.
$245 later. It was worth it.

Re: HOME

oh @utopia

that is so difficult when our pets are hurt and need to go to the vets...

I know that you will give her much attention and love...

cost not what you need but justified as you said..

Re: HOME

Ooooooh @utopia - that’s heartbreaking to hear that. Hope that there are no complications and that she recovers quickly.

My grass and weeds in my yard are at an all time high. Have asked my son to come over on Sunday to mow since it “stresses” my daughter out when I ask her to help me in any way. This could happen to my beautiful canine friend. A timely warning.

Re: HOME

@soul. Yes be sure to check around your fur babies paws. My little Abbey had heaps around her feet as well as the one in the eye.

@Owlunar @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Former-Member @soul @Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 @Teej @Kurra and all.
Well my sacred mountain had the most rainfall in all of Victoria last night and that and the rain that has fallen in the mountains behind it, all have to travel down to my town. We are already above Major flood level. Many streets in town are flooded. Can't get out of town as the major roads are closed. There is currently a reprieve in the rain - but the ground is finding it hard to soak up all the water.
Many houses can no longer flush their toilets aa the water is up too high.
My house is fine - we don't flood. But our yard does. But it never gets up to house level.
My son went out with a friend yesterday, so he is still at his house about a half hour away. Can't get to him due to closed roads - so think he will stay another night at his mates house.
Hope everyone in the southern states are okay.

Re: HOME

stay safe @utopia

have you plenty of food supplies and water?

keep up with the flood news on your local radio station too...

can you have mobile contact with son?

I read that you have some relief from rain...yes when water moves so fast it tends not to sink in just wash away..have you good neighbours whom you can reassure each other with?

take care
