HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

@Faith-and-Hope - it's 9.44pm and I'm still not getting notifications. Any idea when it will be fixed.
@Former-Member. Thank you.
We had our takeaway. A short chat. He had a shower and is now in bed.
I'll have to set my alarm so I wake up in the morning for breakfast.

Re: HOME

SANE website is decidedly dodgy tonight. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Thinking of you @utopia. Glad that training was cancelled. Your son wanting to spend time with you is a huge positive. Cherish each moment. He sounds like a good kid. Enjoy breakky in the morning with him.

Re: HOME

@utopia Glad you did not have to drive under meds and stress and your son still wanted to be with you.

Re: HOME

Thanks @Appleblossom. We didn't talk a lot. I was high with anxiety and he is a teenager wanting to hibernate in his room. But he understood that my anxiety was high due to me coming off those meds last week. He seemed okay with that.
Maybe he might stay over again. Maybe one or two nights a week, until he's comfortable moving back in.

A Good outcome @utopia

Go easy on yourself.

The whole thing with trauma is that it is LIMBIC system overwhelm so primitive part of brain is involved and mind is flooded with urgency.

Mothers & Sons are needed for good men.

Re: HOME

Hey @utopia - just checking in on you to see how things are going.

Is your son having a sleepover at your place this weekend? Any football on? Any other plans?

It’s raining gently outside here after being so dry. Lovely sleeping weather. The little pooch seems to think so.

Let us know what’s happening with you. Take care 💕

Re: HOME

Hi @soul. I asked my son to come for a sleep over tonight. He said no. Even though I said I'd cook him Tacos. So don't know when he'll come and stay next. Or even just visit for an hour or two.
Tomorrow morning shopping and library. If weather stays dry - more mowing the backyard.
Had repair man come and fix the washing machine again yesterday. Today washed the sheets - machine worked.
Then did a load of towels - machine flooding water all over laundry. Have left another message for repair man. Am so bloody frustrated.

Re: HOME

Sorry to hear that your son turned down your invite @utopia. Just keep asking him, telling him that you'd love his company. He'll come around.

Hope you enjoy your time at the library. I have one just up the road from me but don't go there much. Should really do so. I wish they would allow dogs. I reckon my pooch would love to hang out there on a nice comfy sofa.

I bet you're really over this washing machine matter. I'm guessing he's not in a hurry to fix something he didn't do properly in the first place.

Enjoy your weekend.
