HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

Sorry to hear that you are out of sorts today @utopia. Can you get your meds done up in a Webster pack so taking the right ones at the right time is easier? I don’t have to tell you that they aren’t going to work if you don’t take them. Oops - I suppose I just did.

How is the drinking issue going? Been to any more AA meetings?

Hope you took a nice rest and recuperation day and that tomorrow will be better for you. Try to do a bit of exercise. Sit outside for a bit. Laugh at something. Maybe try something new or something you haven’t done in a while.

Re: HOME

So with my washing machine being out of action for about 4 weeks & I'm still waiting for the repair man to come and fix what he didn't fix - 1 & 1/2 weeks ago. So bloody frustrating.
I don't want to go to the laundry mat or my mums to do my washing.
So I bring out my camping - washer. A small egg shaped object. Turn the handle and wash the clothes.
2 tiny loads later - hanging on clothes line. A 3rd wash in the 'machine'.
Am definitely getting some exercise. At least I will have some clean undies and socks and tops.
At least I'm doing something today.
I'm keeping busy.

Re: HOME

Electrical appliances just don't last properly anymore @Shaz51. They are designed to have such a short lifespan. My old washer lasted 8 years. The one before that - at least 12 years. This one isn't yet 2 years old.

Re: HOME

that is totally true @utopia

You can`t get it repaired , It is a throw away world , I have been through so many vacuum cleaners because they can not handle cleaning 2 or more houses

Re: HOME

Makes me scared, that I'm dispensable too @Shaz51
This world is designed to throw away that which can't keep up.

Re: HOME

No @utopia, things are changing all the time , I hear people around my mum`s age saying "what was good about the good old days "

Or the children growing up now , some say " they have it Hard " but there is the good and bad with all changes and generations through life

Look at he things we have to make our life easier , and there are so many peoples helping others all the time , I know we have little hicups along the way and some annoying ones , like getting your machine fixed can get to us sometimes

sorry for getting on my soapbox
