HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

Re: HOME

@outlander. Was good. He can see that I am doing alot better. He would like me to think about going back to school and studying. Not yet, but to get ready for next year. And he suggests I study at TAFE or UNI at the nearby big town, rather than just studying at home over the Internet. He thinks it would be good to socialise more and start using my brain.

Re: HOME

Thats really great @utopia im glad theres improvements. Can you see your improvements as well or just running off what everyone else says?

I didnt know you were studying.. what are you studying?

Re: HOME

@outlander. I feel better. The Depression isn't front and centre and occupying al my thoughts. And slowly motivation is starting to come back, so the Anti Depressants are finally doing their job.

I'm not studying at the moment. My psychologist just recommends that it would be good for me to study and socialise with others. Use my brain and not be so bored. So I'm thinking of it.

A Diploma in Arts is only 1 year. If i enjoy it, then it will qualify me to start the Degree in Arts in Second Year, and maybe I can Major in Aboriginal Studies with a secondary Major being Archeology or Sociology.

Just thinking for now. As not ready in my head to be learning yet. This is just an idea for next year, when I'm feeling back on top of things.

Hi @utopia

I think it's a great idea to get out to study and socialise - and aboriginal art - fantastic stuff

And you have plenty of time to think about it and prepare - get ready mentally, physically and emotionally

I found studying kept me going through the dark years of my life - I don't think I would have made it through without my studies

And that nappy cocky @soul - totally - sending my own favourite cocky

Dec

No - I like this one better - I love the feather style

Re: HOME

Thanks @Owlunar. Yes, I can do Arts and Major in Aboriginal studies. Which I think I'd like to do. I can do the Arts Degree at the big town near us - but I have to go to Melbourne to study any of the Aboriginal Studies modules. Doesn't make sense. Our big town has the largest populationof AAboriginals in all of Victoria - yet the course is only run in a suburb of Melbourne and not even near where most Melbourne Aboriginals live.
I like logic. And that's not logical.
Thanks for the Cocky picture. Feathers do stand out in this image

Hello @Shaz51. Are you feeling better today? Are the AB working?

Re: HOME

Hi @utopia - hope you're doing okay. That study idea sounds great. In your own time - when you're ready. It's good to have plans and things to look forward to. It gives us purpose and helps to battle against depression.

I really hope you will follow through with that. I'm sure you will find it very interesting. When are you expecting that painting?
