HOME

Well I'm finally home (again).
4 hospital stays in 91 days. Wow. No wonder it feels so strange to be in my own house again. Adjusting will take time. Cooking for myself will take time.
My house is in the same condition in which I left it. A pigsty. So no one room has warmth and charm to lift my mood. Will have to slowly start cleaning up - one room at a time.
I did go and watch my son play soccer in the finals. I'd been so sick this year - thst it was the first game I had been to all year. His team lost. But they play again next week. So still stand a chance of playing the grand final.
My son is still living with my mum. Has been since the end of April. Hopefully he will see how much I've improved on my new anti depressants and anti anxiety meds. Then he may choose to come home soon.
Was up and doing the washing early this morning. But now reading a book in bed.
Am very bored. But have AA Meeting tomorrow night.
And I have my WorkCover IME (independent Medical Examination) - psych interview with a tough psychiatric on the 30th of this month. Think it could be on Wednesday. And then I have my much waited for Psychologist appointment. Can't see him when I'm in hospital (too far away).
So that's it for now. A new thread for a new beginning.

@Faith-and-Hope. I think I could rock the peacock feather look.

@Mazarita@Owlunar. I don't wear any makeup, ever. No colouring my grey hair. No mouse or gel to style the hair. No perfume or essential oils. My allergies couldn't handle it.

So I have to be okay with 'au natural'. That's gotten harder as I've got older and fatter.

Re: HOME

Me too with the older and fatter, @utopia. The fatter part is what we are trying to address with these changes of medication I've been going through. At least to stop it from advancing as much as possible. 35kg in 7-8 years. I colour hair, though it's growing out grey at the moment until I next motivate myself to do it. Perfume and essential oils, yes. Can understand how you have to forego all that with allergies.

Re: HOME

Am starting to feel a lot better.

On Tuesday, I drove up to the mountain that I love so much, and find a calming place. I haven't been there for almost a year and a half. Sat on a favourite rock and tried to meditate, as I used to do. But couldn't. That's ok. I'm just out of practice at the moment. But I'll practice daily.

Not 100% yet, but really feel that dark depressive cloud has almost disappeared. Hoping if I keep on the same path, this episode will fully end.

@utopia

good on you for going to the mountain! you have mentioned it a few times now - am so pleased that you finally went.

yep, the more you start to practise meditating the easier it will come for you.

im happy to hear that the dark depressive cloud has nearly gone. it is very hard and distressing when that cloud is hanging over our head. how are you feeling this evening?

ooh ooh ooh - hows the eyebrows looking??? 🙂

xxxxxx

Re: HOME

The eyebrows - lol - looks hideous. Will take a good 6-weeks plus for them to grow back. Have had a few states. I forget about my eyebrows and wonder why people are looking at me funny. Lol.

@Bella1978. Just relaxing tonight. Watching tv. And you?

Mum in the ambulance to hospital. She tried to get out of her chair this morning and she heard something snap and felt it. Didn't ring an ambulance. Waited 2 hours til 7am to call me. Took to the doctors. It's her sternum. Not sure if fractured or muscle pulled. While walking back to reception, she couldn't get her breath. Hooked her up to ECG &-checked her heart. Hence why she's heading to hospital. Got ambidextrous to take her to the better hospital which is further away. She didn't want to go where I used to work.

Have packed her bags and on my way now.

Re: HOME

Just got home 15 minutes ago. So mum was in emergency. Hooked up and xray and bloods taken. All clear. Definitely pulled muscle. After telling us she was discharged, they finally let us go. Slow doing paperwork.

Finally got her to our private little hospital in our town. She's staying there for a few nights respite. Because she can't move without intense pain, and I can't stay with her. She hardly sleeps. And the hospital can give her strong meds. She's settled in. They kept dinner for her and reheated it when she arrived. I went to her house and picked up her dog. So he's sleeping in my sons room. As he suffers badly from anxiety. Has just had his anti anxiety meds doubled. Lol. Same meds as humans take.

So after a,12 hour day - I'm exhausted.
