Hey, I just wanted to start a thread here in case there are others struggling with all the media crap around this postal survey. Everywhere I go in the community people are finding it really hard so I thought people here must also be.
I am.
Maybe we can just make a space to take care of each other. I feel that we really need to do that right now. This atrocity is going to continue for months.

Even IF yes prevails, it has to go to a parliamentary vote. I'm not holding my breath. This country can be so backward sometimes.
I've been avoiding Facebook due to the hate being spread there.

Thanks @Former-Member and hey everyone, yeah I changed name on here - from Briar to Rayne - mostly for transition reasons, also DID reasons.
I opened the survey and ticked yes and posted it back. I didn't like it but I figured I wasn't as offended by the yes campaign as I would be outraged if the no's won.

It seems wherever I go at the moment, there is either the Yes camp or the No camp. So much division within society... I just want it all to end.

When I went to the mental health expo yesterday, I ended up finding a QLife stall and chatting for the longest time with one of their counsellors. Got a lot of things surrounding the postal survey and bullying off my chest. Felt like a great release! I am not the proud owner of an 'I voted yes' badge in rainbow colours too. If nothing else, this made my trip to the city worthwhile!
