Really wobbly

Really wobbly

Any advice and suggestions about how to stay grounded and do self care much appreciated. I have some big stressors in my life right now. That combined with Bipolar 1 and Anxiety is really knocking me around. Trying to sell home as result of marriage breakdown, pay debts, find new home. My daughter (who is my main support) is leaving home (can't blame her). I have a young son to look after and I'm trying to protect him from the strain of the situation. All this is coming off the back of a mixed episode, which has recently been replaced by plumetting mood and skyrocketing anxiety. I am teary and on the verge of panic and need to talk myself down - there's noone else to do it. The future is scaring me.

Walking adventure sounds like a great break, @frog. Nice that you are doing it with dad too. Have a refreshing time and catch you around soon.

Have fun @frog ...... I hope you relax into the moment and find small joys to carry forward as special memories from your trip and your time with your Dad.

I am just back from spending 3 days at my Dad’s house ...... full of memories of my Mum.

Here is an update @soul @Teej @Former-Member@utopia@outlander @Queenie @Former-Member @Former-Member @Phoenix_Rising @Sans911 @Maggie @MDT @Shaz51@Zoe7 @Bunniekins and all my forum friends. Apologies to anyone seeing the notification a second time. I reposted because tags didn't seem to be working.

This is the beautiful Bay of Fires in Tas where I went walking. It was a wonderful experience, including a wild storm and 3 squished toes! I rediscovered that being outside and strenuous exercise pretty much cures my bipolar and anxiety. Now I need someone to pay me to do it.

Back in the real world, I am in the throws of more housing stress, as my daughter is moving back in and that means 3 people and 2 dogs in a one bedroom unit. How? Well, 1 in the bedroom, 1 on the landing, and me under the stairs with the dogs! This is not so much the worry as the interpersonal stuff of getting along with so little space. My daughter is very bossy.

Also trying to fit my life in around work. Which makes me a anxious and agitated. I am paticularly being aware of this as serious stress last year triggered a mixed episode which was truly horrible. Life is a juggle for most people, but throw in MI and it becomes a tough row to hoe. All the more important to look for the good stuff.

Re: Really wobbly

Good morning, @frog. Lovely image of where you went walking.

That is a lot of people in a one bedroom unit and I understand your fears of interpersonal difficulties in the small space.

It reminds me of staying for a while at my dad's bedsit at one time in my younger years. I slept on a banana lounge and he in a single bed. We actually got on better during that time than when we shared a two-bedroom flat some years earlier.

However, I know this will be difficult and can only wish you the best in making it okay for as long as this undesirable situation must continue.

I hope there is some good in today for you.

Hearing you @frog ......

We have done 8 people in a 2 Bed x 1 Bath before for 6 months .... bossy MIL, but it was her house (lol) ...... but we have also looked after her very well for a long time .....

The things we do for family, huh ?

Wishing you courage and patience .... ❣️

Hey @frog! Great to see you 🙂 (I didn't get this tag which is strange).

That looks like an amazing place to go walking. So glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙂

Your life in the real world sounds like it's got lots happening. Very much understand how life can be tricky enough without the challenges of mental health also. I'm a huge fan of looking for the good too, which I hope your day has plenty of.

Re: Really wobbly

yes i never got the tag for here the first time either @frog it seems to be happening quite a bit for me with a few members tagging me and not getting them.

that pic is really beautiful it looks so clean and clear!

i really hope your daughter finds somewhere to live again soon, itll be easier on all of you! i know how it feels to be cramped into a small house. i finally got out of that situation

maybe itll give you more chances to get out and get active as you said it helps your MI 🙂
