Really wobbly

Really wobbly

Any advice and suggestions about how to stay grounded and do self care much appreciated. I have some big stressors in my life right now. That combined with Bipolar 1 and Anxiety is really knocking me around. Trying to sell home as result of marriage breakdown, pay debts, find new home. My daughter (who is my main support) is leaving home (can't blame her). I have a young son to look after and I'm trying to protect him from the strain of the situation. All this is coming off the back of a mixed episode, which has recently been replaced by plumetting mood and skyrocketing anxiety. I am teary and on the verge of panic and need to talk myself down - there's noone else to do it. The future is scaring me.

Thanks @Former-Member hugs to you too. It's like trying to walk through treacle. I have an overwhelming desire to just stop altogether but tiny slow steps are still steps.

Re: Really wobbly

Really wobbly seems to be my default, what I always come back to. I am really down. It takes so much energy to stay semi-stable. I have a sense of futility at the moment. Out walking the dogs I had the thought: why try and be healthy? Do I want to live a long life? ... I'm so glad I found this forum. Otherwise I would feel completely alone.

Re: Really wobbly

I'm sorry to hear you're really down @frog. Really shaky is one of my defaults. It kind of sounds a bit like really wobbly. I wish there was something that could help take really wobbly and really shaky away because they're hard. With you and hearing you.
