Really wobbly

Really wobbly

Any advice and suggestions about how to stay grounded and do self care much appreciated. I have some big stressors in my life right now. That combined with Bipolar 1 and Anxiety is really knocking me around. Trying to sell home as result of marriage breakdown, pay debts, find new home. My daughter (who is my main support) is leaving home (can't blame her). I have a young son to look after and I'm trying to protect him from the strain of the situation. All this is coming off the back of a mixed episode, which has recently been replaced by plumetting mood and skyrocketing anxiety. I am teary and on the verge of panic and need to talk myself down - there's noone else to do it. The future is scaring me.

Hi @frog - no worries about the extra tags and reposting, I had the same computer glitch not long back and it happens to everyone. No problem. 😊

Oh my what a beautiful photo - what a beautiful beach and part of the world! I am putting this on my bucket list for sure. Being in nature and enjoying the adventure does wonders for destressing, helping to alleviate depression and anxiety. I love nature ❤️ Wouldn't it be wonderful to be paid to do it. Our original indigenous Australians had the right idea in lifestyle and how to live in my humble opinion. 21st century living is getting more and more stressful.

I have to say that it does sound like very stressful living arrangements you are under. I would find it difficult too. Is this temporary? My daughter could be bossy like that - I had to make my boundaries clear. It's a good thing you are aware of what serious stress can do and to prevent it at all costs. And you are so right - all the more important now to look for the good stuff. That helps me cope as well.

Have a relaxing evening my friend - was so good to read a post from you. xx

@frog - The Bay of Fire - 1 place I've always wanted to go to. Next trip to Tasmania - definitely.
You need to get a job as a guide to these types of places in Tassie. That would be heaven.

@utopia the guides were amazing. So knowledgable and hardworking - 14 hour days of hard work. They started before we were up and finished way later than the group.

Re: Really wobbly

Tassie looks beautiful. I have been there as a teenager and would love to go back one day. Glad you are finding that exercise helps with your MI.

Sounds a bit squishy when it comes to living conditions for you. Is it a temporary situation or long term. my daughter is looking at moving out of our two bedroom townhouse. She's away this weekend and it does make a difference so I can imagine how crowded things are going to be for you.

You'll have to set some clear guidelines as to how things are going to be managed there. Best of luck!

Wow @Shaz51 that must have been super squishy! Not ideal, but you got through it. Any tips?

Re: Really wobbly

Wobbling on. I had a very bad day at work. 4 bad things happened, including one that was triggering. I noticed my mind racing, anxiety way up and thinking starting to get disorganised. I'm writing this here because it may help me get some perspective. Also because this is the onlly place I can talk about it. This is how my last mixed episode started, so I'm trying to stay as calm as I can, stick to my routine as closely as I can etc. It's so tiring. It never goes away.

Sorry to hear that things at work have been crappy @frog. Glad that you are taking steps to minimise the effects. Rant here all you want. Hope that the situation improves for you.
