Re: not coping

It is hard to find a good gp and a female hun, especially when you live in a smaller town. There are not many options around. I find it hard to also find one that understands MH.

If you need surgery or further tests you might have to tell your mum @outlander I know that might not be ideal but you might need that extra support. In saying that I hope she would give you that extra support you would need. You shouldn't have to go through this alone sweetheart.

Re: not coping

the thing is im not really in a small town, theres lots of places but the gps here arent very good. or the ones that are good are arent on medicare or their books are full esp with covid now. its really hard. there is a gp clinic that are focussed on womens health but its abit of a travel and atm they make you wear masks. while im ok with that if im panicing or anything then i mentally cant wear one i feel like im suffocating or something so while it might be good to go there im kinda hoping to maybe hold off abit longer maybe then the mask rule might be more optional rather then compulsory.

i know ill have to tell her at some point but i dont really want to yet. all my life ive had all these expectations put on me, i almost feel like its my duty to provide grandkids too. i know thats not the case but i think its my mind set atm.

Re: not coping

Your own personal health is more important than grandchildren hun, but I can understand that expectation, even if its only your mindset.

The gp clinic specialising in womens health might be an option depending on what the gyno says in your next appointment @outlander Wearing a mask and panicking at the same time can be hard hun.

Have you got a good trusted friend you could take with you to your appointments to help you if you do become panicked.

I know I haven't but am hoping you do hun.

Just to let you know I have taken my meds so if I drop out you know why.

Re: not coping

i dont really @Snowie these appts have been alot more personal and private. i hired a carer to come to the last one to wait in the waiting room, theres a chance i could probably do that again. i have just over a week till the appt its just been more on my mind the past day or 2.

i think ill be heading to bed in a minute too just waiting on this episode to finish up and then ill go lay down. i have abit more of a busy day tomorrow

Re: not coping

A carer sounds like it could be a good idea hun, especially if you feel comfortable with them.

If u could pick and choose which carer then that would be even better.

I imagine it will be in your mind more and more over the coming week @outlander so am happy to talk to you or to just listen to what you need to say.

I hope your day goes well tomorrow. If I can have a shower tomorrow then that will be a major win for me.

I hope you get some sleep sweetheart

All my love, and hugs sis 💙💜♥️

Re: not coping

i can request that carer thankfully @Snowie shes more personal so not through a company. its a place like mable so i only have to send a msg to ask if shes avaliable on the date/time i need.

Re: not coping

Hopefully that carer is available for you, you should not have to go through this process alone. @outlander

Furthermore we all deserve that support regardless of who we get it from hun.

Hoping he pain relief helps and you are able to get some sleep sweetie.

Lots of love and hugs sweetheart,

Talk tomorrow💜💙♥️💛
