Re: not coping

@outlander I found the one most like cow's milk in tea is soymilk or oat milk (in case you don't like the almond). I still use them all the time even though I'm back to vegetarian now. Also, there are a lot of substitutes around - mainly to be found in the health food section of the supermarket. I will be thinking of you going grocery shopping tomorrow and sending you heaps of best wishes... I also hope you can sleep tonight after this big shock.

Re: not coping

yeah step by step @Shaz51 the main one will be going dairy or at least lactose free. i can slowly change the sugar and carb amounts as i go.

Re: not coping

thanks @NatureLover
ill give the almond milk ago first. i have a litre of that and really only have that in my tea so if i still dont like it by the end of the bottle ill give the soy milk ago. i has to be low sugar so the almond or soy milk seem to be the lowest in carb and sugar wise.

i do most of my shopping online so it makes it abit harder but i cant keep risking going to the shops too often

Re: not coping

That's so true hun. It's all about just educating yourself on what you can and can't have. These days these are so many different options out there and so many different cook books for all type of intolerances.
My brother uses oat milk in his coffees and I tried it and actually really liked the taste. So give that one a shot.

Oh yes, gosh, I didn't even think of that, @outlander ...at least you don't have food shortages up there I hope.

Time for me to sign off for the night...hoping it's an OK night for you.

Re: not coping

It would be tough hun @outlander especially going shopping tomorrow no doubt you will be overwhelmed. It is a good idea too to keep your hospital insurance just incase you need surgery down the track. Hoping you don't have to use it however.

How has the rest of your day been?

Re: not coping

ect went ok thanks @Lee82 Just trying to drink more water so I can keep this headache at bay. I normally end up with a headache and some muscle soreness afterwards so just trying to manage it with pain relief.
