Re: not coping

I'm OK about that stuff @outlander that I posted.

My mother is just annoying me about something else. I bought her a TV cabinet last week but have to work out how to collect it because it's a bit far away, and then to get it to her new place. Showed her pictures before, told her measurements, etc. She was OK. Now she thinks it's too big. She might be right about that but she does this often. I have bought her nice things or she's bought them herself, then 5 mins later 'don't like this anymore'. Grrr. And then she gets all emotional about it.

Anyway, I've just had a nice hot shower, changed my wound dressings as I have the hospital clinic in the morning. The old dressings were a bit yuck after 2 days.

Re: not coping

Thats frustrating @Sans911 she might want to make up her mind quickly so you can let the people know if youd still like it or not.

Is the hospital clinic appt the checkup to see how your wounds are travelling?

Re: not coping

Yes @outlander but I'm seeing the plastic surgeon tomorrow. It's been a month since I saw her last. The wounds are better but not significantly. Theyre a right mess; I can't stand looking at them. I have asked several times for her to remove my boobs but she won't as she thinks I'll still have problems with healing. I'm now starting to get some pain so nerves be regenerating. Sorry, not the nicest subject to talk about.

Then I have my support worker after that appointment. The cleaner comes in the afternoon too. And if the weather stays alright I will go for my group walk. It's been wild, windy and very wet here the last couple of days.

Re: not coping

If the nerves are regenerating is that a good thing? Does that mean some internal healing is happening?

I did see that wa was suppose to be getting some wild weather . Hopefully it passes soon so you can do your walking group again soon.

Have you heard much about the new job and whats happening there yet? @Sans911

Re: not coping

Nerves are cut during surgery to access blood vessels and they aren't repaired. So nerve regeneration sometimes happens, sometimes not. Mine is mostly around and under the wounds. But I had a skin biopsy done 6 weeks ago, and I neither felt the local anaesthetic needle nor the biopsy one (good if you're needle phobic). So it's neither good or bad.

I've overdid things a bit yesterday cleaning my mother's unit. I didn't do a huge amount, but I did lift a number of heavy things and was up on ladders cleaning walls. So my abdo is a bit sore today. I took a stronger painkiller last night but just a regular one tonight.
