Re: not coping

Thanks sis @Sans911 💖

Did/do you experience emotions so intensely that sometimes you forget the reason you were upset/angry/etc and why your doing what your doing (like if your angry and you start throwing things) it all starts to blur together? Almost like all you can feel is everything/nothing but your kind of like dissociated but still aware of your surroundings?
Even over small things or things you normally wouldnt react to?
I dont really know if this makes any sense at all...

Re: not coping

I have missed the notification for this post @outlander.

Yes, I've experienced what you're asking. It's like a blind rage. It used to happen quite a bit when I was very emotionally dysregulated, but I've not experienced it for a long time. And it wasn't just anger either. Being stressed and overwhelmed did it too

Re: not coping

Damn. Lost my post.

What I mean is that previously, a few years ago, I would be quite disconnected at times, but I still had some awareness of reality. I would often act quite irrational, be out of control and take excessive risks that put myself or others in potential harms way.

Now I have better control. I recognise earlier I'm loosing control and focus, so I try to ground myself in the present, I focus on my breathing, and I stay put until I'm back in control. I find if I physically move from the position I'm in, I loose control, I start to dissociate, and things happen.

I'm not sure if that's helpful @outlander
