Re: not coping

My day has been ok @outlander

I have a few big decisions to make about when I am going home.

We were meant to go away next weekend but if I am in here then we won't be going. That makes me feel bad that by me being in here means the kids miss out on their weekend away.

I don't know really what to do. I don't want to go home if I am not ready but then again I don't want the family to miss out because of me.

How are you going sweetheart. You have had such a full on day. I am glad you don't have the kids tonight.

Re: not coping

that is really tricky @Snowie

I wonder if you could get a weekend pass with stricter conditions like check ins with the hospital each day and only 2-3 days worth of medications, that sort of thing? that way you can enjoy the weekend away with your kids and H and be safe?
i know you don't have ect on weekends so maybe it could be considered?

its been a full on day indeed. ive been resting abit more this arvo but am really tired. im planning on having a shower soon and hopefully be asleep before my usual time lately. have lots of thoughts going through my mind atm

Re: not coping

Understand perfectly @Former-Member 👍

Not say'n it aint a bit weird tho. 😀💖

But if thats the case, then I am too. I sometimes just need to be around people. Feel like a stalker sometimes. 😂

Well @Former-Member after an emotion packed day, I hope you get a decent sleep.

@NatureLover Good night 😴

Sounds as though ECT went pretty well today @Snowie @Eve7 ?

@outlander I imagine your mind would be working overtime trying to work out how to fit all these medical tests, possible ops, care for pop and sibs, etc all into a tight schedule.

An unexpected bonus though is that you wont need to fork out a heap of 💰💲 to get any of it done. No loan needed must be a huge weight off your mind, compared to this time last week.

Re: not coping

Hadn't thought about that @outlander Might ask the question of pdoc tomorrow and see if it is possible.

No doubt you have a lot on your mind hun. It has been a big time for you. I hope you get to sleep quicker then normal hun, it sounds like you need it.

@Former-Member yes ect went ok today. Sometimes we just need to be around others, totally agree with you.

Re: not coping

im still going to apply for a loan after 3 months @Former-Member id really like a nice newer less of a lemon 4wd but at least im not in a huge rush now and im ok to wait for those 3 months without feeling like i have to sell my kidneys to pay for things in the meantime.

im going to save abit of money between now and when gastroscopy is though, i have a feeling pop may need more support while im there for the day and maybe for the rest of the day/night because he is attached to me and even worse when it involves hospitals etc. so im thinking if i can afford to i may get another carer in for a few hours in the day both when im not here and when i am here so that i can sleep off the rest of the anaesthetic and just rest for a while rather then jumping straight back into the caring role.

Re: not coping

i really hope its a possibility @Snowie if you can speak to them tomorrow then perhaps there will be enough time to arrange it. i will be keeping my fingers crossed for you esp if things can be put in place for you to still be safe.

yeah its abit scarier now. before i knew there was a mass and it could be anything but seeing things written on the refferrals and the specific doppler testing as well) and blood tests that have all the tumour markers, coagulation etc all on there becomes abit scarier.

Re: not coping

It can be really hard when your kids are young @Snowie . My kids are grown now but I know they were stuffed around a lot when they were young due to my mh but I think a healthy mother is much better for them. We had some really good family years when my mh improved.

Even though I see the anguish on their faces now I know they are dealing much better with my mh than when they were little.

Thinking of you and I really hope the meds work for you tonight 💙🧡💙

Re: not coping

No doubt it is scary @outlander especially when you see it all written down.

But hopefully this is the start of getting to the bottom of your medical problems. They have gone on for long enough hun and you deserve answers.

I hope you sleep well too @Eve7 Just had my meds then
