Re: not coping

Oh wow, lil Sis @outlander

This is massive, life-changing news. You will have to make many adjustments, and life will seem quite different for a while. I have every confidence you will manage and be okay. You are one of the strongest people I have known, yet I know too that you have been through so many challenges with your health and life. I hope in time you get the supports you need in place to help you start moving forward to a better quality of life. You have gone above and beyond caring for your pop. Time for a rest now and to discover who you are. Much love

Big news indeed @outlander , but mostly good for your Pop and also I think for you. ♥

Fingers crossed that NDIS comes to the party to provide the support you need. 🌷🌻

So many huge changes in your life and you keep taking it all in your stride. Much love and respect to you. 💞

Lovely to see you @Sans911 😊

Re: not coping

Thanks @Shaz51 I think it’s only a couple of weeks but that’s ok it’s better than nothing to start with. I’m using the 6 week respite first but that means having to pay all the bills myself as al pops $ will go on respite anyway

Re: not coping

So good to see you sis @Sans911

I know there’s going to be soo many challenges 😞 but I also know this is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for to be able to actually do something to improve my life. It’s terrifying and exciting at the same time, more overwhelming at the moment though knowing how much still has to be done and the rental market at this stage is soo hard and expensive to get into.

Re: not coping

I think it’ll be better for us both @Emelia8 I’ve been struggling to care for him for some time and also myself. My ability to care for myself is worsening and the pressures of caring for him and doing what’s best for him is to much. At least in a home I know he will be getting support good meals and less shuffling around when I need to go to work.

Hopefully ndis comes through soon as I could use the support now. I was self funding however this won’t be possible now and I will be on my own. It is scary

It will be hard every time he says it and the family have put that responsibility on me @Bunniekins but I know deep down it is the right thing to do for me and for him too
