Re: not coping

Hoping work goes quickly for you then @outlander

Perhaps the gp might have some sort of idea what is happening with your fatigue. It would be for you to know.

Re: not coping

i think so @Snowie

how was your chrissy?

i was glad for brunch to be over but was good to see the people who werent arguing and no arguments on the day either.
and then i went and helped at the homeless shelter for 3 hours and it was good too but i was exhausted by the end of the day. it was so good to help those who really needed it the most.

Hi @outlander

I'm glad your brunch went well and the volunteering did too. It would have been so nice to see people smile 💗

My day went well. Mum didn't have any digs at me which was a nice change. Everyone was gone by 9pm which I was glad of. Had had enough by then.

I hope today goes well for you sweetie. Take care 💌💌

What's happening my pals? @Snowie @outlander @Eve7 @Captain24 @creative_writer ?

Hi @tyme, it’s nice to see you. How are you?

I’m okay, very exhausted though, burn out recovery is happening but it’s slow. After i reached out to talk to someone about what was going on in my mind I felt better. Probably had a built up of surprised emotions. I’m not very good at reaching out for support and I was afraid reaching out to Lifeline wouldn’t help, but it did. I was lucky to get someone who was really good

Re: not coping

Hi @creative_writer so glad to hear you reached out and that it helped. Well done for reaching out, that is hard to do within itself.

Hi @tyme I hope your break was nice. Just getting ready to go away tomorrow.

Re: not coping

That's something so important to remember - there are times when you don't get a good match on Lifeline, but that doesn't mean the whole service doesn't work. It's good to write it down to remind yourself that you won't always get the same person so it's worth trying again @creative_writer . I'm glad you did.

Enjoy your trip @Snowie ! Hope it goes well for you 🙂 I had a quiet break, but i did sleep in today lol

Re: not coping

@Snowie and @tyme, it is hard reaching out for help because it means I have to be vulnerable. I do know you can’t heal without being vulnerable. I’ve had so many bad experiences with opening up to people and not feeling any better. I grew up believing my needs were never going to be met so I stopped trying. It’s hard trying to change that mindset, but I don’t know if there is any other way to recovery but to let the right people support me along the way. I’ve tried convincing myself I can do it on my own, but I can’t convince myself any longer.

@Snowie, sometimes a get away is what one needs. It’s also nice to have a change of scenery. I hope you enjoy it 💖

Re: not coping

@creative_writer I think it is hard to acknowledge that we need help and that we have to let others into our inner circle. It is not something that comes natural to us.

I've had to put my trust in my supports. Sometimes opening up means we can get hurt but I guess if we don't try we will never know.

You should be proud of yourself for being vulnerable. We are proud of you 💕
