Re: not coping

Hi @outlander

Sorry to hear you have had to cancel some supports. It is hard when money has to come into the picture. Simply not fair at times.

Sending lots of love hon, thinking of you 💕💕

Re: not coping

thanks @tyme @Snowie

i had a fair bit saved but all the extra expenses that i just had to pay just used most of it. im quite dissapointed that ive had to give up all my supports now. i only just had enough to get there and back. im just lucky i already paid my hospital bill and the place where im staying.

Re: not coping

@outlander Hi, I'm deshift. I'm up for a chat, I'm just sitting here avoiding doing anything, just listening to music, and hitting refresh on the forum.

What's up?

Re: not coping

hi @deshift nice to meet you

im just tired in pain/uncomfortable and passing time till i can go to bed.
getting nervous about going for medical treatment in a few days. in the final prep for everything now before im away

Re: not coping

thanks @outlander nice to meet you too

I have felt like that before, though chronic pain is something I am spared from, thank goodness. nowadays I just go to bed if I am tired, and get out of bed if I wake up, and usually go back after a drink and a bit of xbox.

I had a surgery on my pilonidal abscess the year before last, and I was super nervous, and it didn't heal straight away, but I am better than ever now, and glad I just journeyed through it all. it's nerve wracking not knowing the future...

Re: not coping

i have several rare chronic pain/physical conditions so im not a good sleeper. its why i do more night shifts for work.

i just had a recent surgery so the sutures are quite sore currently and in an awkard place so its making being comfortable quite hard.

im about to go for more medical treatments, its very intesne and goes for 7 days so its alot on my mind at the moment. the treatment allows me to function though and be able to continue to walk and be more physically and mentally active so i have to continue with the treatment

Re: not coping

@outlander okay yep. I hear that.

is humour at all appropriate in your current situation? I don't know you that well, I don't want to overstep a boundary.

7 days! whoa. I would think it completely normal to think about the treatments. I would find it very difficult to just shelve it all. my sister always tells me to write down all the little things that are currently in my world, and when I write them all down, I realise I actually have lots going on. but having them all in one place makes it easier to digest.

I'm glad you are going to be able to continue to do the things you want to do, I think I take for granted my physical functionality so often as I lament the mental and emotional stresses I have undertaken.

Re: not coping

i took my physical abilities for granted as well until i wasnt able to walk for a year and then took another 6 months to not rely on crutches @deshift ive unfortunatley been left with life long conditions that need to be managed now.

7 days is a long time. the treatment that i need to have done is actually 4 hours from where i live so i need to travel interstate so im away from home and all supports.

writing things down can be quite helpful. does journalling help you? i use to journal abit but i dont anymore. i also use to use a worry box as well. that might be helpful for you too.
