Re: not coping

thanks @Snowie have had the procedure done last night. abit uncomfortable but not unbearable. hopefully im well enough by friday to not need it and then i can get it taken out.
didnt get home till about midnight though but im tolerating toast now since the procedure change and better med administration so im taking that as a win! if i can have full meals and tolerate it by friday i will be cheering.

not much sleep but nothing unusual there.
im at work now again but hoping itll be a short shift. tomorrow im going to see a RN to interview to become apart of my care team. i have one currently but she is also now my boss so i cant always rely on her for that support plus it sort of changes that relationship when you work for them so im seeking another one to become part of my care team in helping manage so many complex conditions. i didnt really want to add another person but i sort of need to at this point and need that consistent help that i can be honest with when i need medical treatments and things.

Re: not coping

Hopefully it is bearable for you @outlander If it helps with the pain then it's a good thing.

Hope this new RN works out for you. Any support we can get is a good thing.

Re: not coping

it is definently helping @Snowie and so much better then getting physical injections every 4 hours. the set up allows me to do them myself now not that im overly crash hot on it and still nearly pass out lol. (im such a sook when it comes to needles!!) but hopefully with some practice itll be ok but im hoping friday itll be enough to come back out.

i did have a decent RN but she often didnt have suggestions and felt i was more needing to help her then her help me so she become my boss in one of my new workplaces. im looking for one that i can help get some care plans done up and actually start to manage these conditions esp the 3 main physical ones. a few suggested i should try for ndis but id feel weird being someone who is able to work in the capacity i do even if its admin work and have that support.

Re: not coping

Ndis might be an option for you @outlander I guess it just depends if you feel like you can still work. Admin work does sound a bit easier then being on your feet the whole shift. Especially if you can do it from home.

I know my dad was on ndis when he was alive. It did take the pressure of my mum so that she could be his primary carer.

I do hope this new RN is suitable for you.

Re: not coping

I’m allowed to work even being on ndis they actually encourage it but I’m fiercely independent even though I could use the help @Snowie so I’m not sure

Re: not coping

Well you pay taxes @outlander so if you are entitled to it then I say go for it.

You deserve the help hon. It might be just what you need.

Re: not coping

Re: not coping

I can understand the hesitation @outlander
