Re: not coping

@outlander oh nice you got that relationship already and don't have to go through the 'new person' routine so much. I saw a meme the other day that said starting a new job feels like being a new character on season 5 of a well-loved tv show 😂 Glad you don't have to go through that!

Re: not coping

lol @Jynx its always hard being the new person. the workplace im in even though i dont like it i actually got along with everyone quite well from the start. it was daunting the first few times meeting the new work colleagues but after a couple of weeks settling in it was easy to get along with everyone

Re: not coping

@outlander I reckon if it's easy to get along with your colleagues from early on it means two things - 1. that it's a good workplace culture and 2. that you are yourself easy to get along with!

The people I work with in the place I don’t like are okay some stand out but in general they’re all ok @Jynx

Re: not coping

its going ok at the moment. just working through paperwork for permanent care for the wait lists. everyone requires paperwork for it so i may as well do it at work when i have nothing else to do. ive done that now and applied for 3 places to go on the waitlist, and sorted respite

and i have one part of my tafe homework that im slowly working through as well @Snowie

and ill go through and check my savings to find out what else i still need to save for. still over a grand i believe but ive reduced the care requirements dramatically so its not as big of a bill now and this company is amazing in that i dont need to pay in advance as much and can sort of take it as it comes. and pay by the hours rather then the expected care so thats working out well for me too so i can just save for my planned hours that i wont be able to avoid and then the rest of the savings can be used as needed

Re: not coping

Sounds like you've worked some things out @outlander Hopefully it makes it easier for you in the long run and that you can save yourself some money.

You might as well use work to do all you need, saves you doing it at home.
