Re: not coping

Seems like a lot of pressure on your shoulders @outlander

The quicker your Pop is in care the better. Sounds like you are not getting a break from him. Do you have any idea of how long that will take?

I'm sorry you are hating work at the moment. It must be difficult since you want the money but don't want to go. It's hard to choose between the two.

Re: not coping

could be a year or longer @Snowie
hoping less than that but have a couple of meetings to put him on the waiting list.
i need and want to work but not where i am but my hours are so limited without pop that its hard to find another job. ive been turned down by several companies not because they didnt want me but because i couldnt really even offer them 2 shifts a week which is a standard amount

Re: not coping

That's a long time to wait @outlander for your Pop to go into care. It also means a long time for you too, since your family don't seem to help much. Only when it is convenient for them.

Is there any other occupations you could go into, or do you like the field you are in now?

Re: not coping

I like the industry but not the workplace I’m in right now @Snowie

Re: not coping

Well I have everything crossed that you will find a new job soon @outlander

Is there anyway your family can look after your Pop more?

Re: not coping

Hi @outlander

Sorry to hear you're struggling with your workplace. It's not a nice feeling to be somewhere you hate so much...but kinda have no other choice about. Hopefully some nicer changes are soon coming your way.

hugs

Hanami

Re: not coping

i can only hope so @hanami i just dont enjoy it at all.

they dont want to @Snowie or it has to be on their terms so after 6pm but no later then 10pm so i could only work 6-10pm on weekdays or some weekends depending on whether they can have him or not but at this rate it will have to be most weekends. it is just exhausting that i have to work around literally everyone else when it really shouldnt be that way but its expected to be that way and i cant do much to change it

Re: not coping

Thats a shame @outlander especially since it is their pop/dad too no doubt.

It must be exhausting for you since their is never a break for you, especially when you have to take him to work with you.

Re: not coping

yep @Snowie it is exhausting. its more tiring then having kids i think some days. at least with kids you know they cant take care of themselves to a certain degree but with adults its harder because they are basically reverting backwards to a kid

Re: not coping

must be exhausting @outlander

Kids are much easier to look after, they can take care of themselves.

Hopefully your day gets a little easier for you.
