Re: not coping

sometimes the shift drags on @hanami esp when im here basically all arvo and night. by the time i get home its shower and bed because ill be to tired to do anything else at 11 oclock at night

i usually dont sleep much but lately i feel like im tired all the time even though i also feel the need to keep moving.
im wondering if its the new medications ive got for migraines. the dr said that drowsiness and fatigue are side effects most common in the first few weeks till the body adjusts to them. ive only been on them for about 2 weeks now.

i do tend to go through phases when my depression takes a hit and my moods switch and theres different signs to watch out for compared to when im really using up all my anxious energy. do you find that too @hanami its like i cant portion out my energy its either use it all up constantly or have none at all.
im in abit of a pain flare up with the old injury too which probably isnt helping.

Re: not coping

Yes @outlander , I get that too. When my anxiety is bad I just have to keep doing stuff. I remember a year or so ago it was quite bad at one stage for a while. I would have dinner (of which I didn't eat much because of anxiety makimg me nauseous) and then continue to do stuff ....just on and on. Taking rubbish out, dusting... a lot of mindless stuff but just moving and moving. When I'm calm I just do things at a regular pace. I do have a very clean house when I have anxiety lol.
I was worried my anxiety would skyrocket last week. I had a skin check and had another couple of skin cancers. Both superficial but they are my 5th and 6th. One is just under by eyebrow! I had the one on my chest cut out but the one on my brow I'm trying the cream on. Hoping to avoid surgery and hoping the cream works. I was surprisingly calm when my skin dr talked to me about it. I think (and hope this is true) the older I become the less I worry. I turned 54 last week. Think I'm on the other side of menopause. Maybe my hormones are calmer. I don't know! Anyway, sorry for making this all about me! I hope I didn't take over.

I hope you feel better soon x

Re: not coping

Sorry you are not doing well @outlander.

I hope your shift goes ok. I hope you can focus on that nice hot shower when you get home.

Im hoping for you that it’s the med changes and that the fatigue starts to ease as you get use to them.

Hi @hanami

@outlander I hope your shift goes quickly for you hon.

Can understand those feelings. They are very valid and real.

I hope for your sake they can calm down a bit.

Here for you 💌

Hi @hanami I hope your day has been pleasant.

Re: not coping

Thanks @hanami that must be anxiety provoking for you. I have had 3 precancerous skin spots removed in the past and thankfully none others.

My house would probay be clean in my anxiety moods to if I could stand being there haha but I get what you mean. I honestly just never stop moving. I’m sure I do jobs in my sleep half the time!

Re: not coping

Thank you @Captain24 oh I’m looking. Forward to a hot shower at home when the shift eventually ends. I’ve done most of my chores here already. Just doing dinner and then dishes after dinner. I’ve brought my laptop this time so I can watch a movie to hopefully pass some time today

Thanks @Snowie
Only 2 hours into the shift and it’s already going slow but I guess it hasn’t been crazy like last time. Showers done here and doing dinner. Just dishes after dinner and a load of washing to do
