Re: not coping

in alot of pain still @Captain24 have the drs on wednesday to speak about it and still have a stomach ache.
the client at work as a flu too and im wondering if thats what im getting.

im even more stressed because a got a quote for care post treatment and im starting to hate people. well not really but i feel like im always there for everyone else and everyone has 'someone' but anytime i need help and support i have to pay for it. i have no idea how im suppose to pay for it, a hotel, and debts which are up to my eyeballs. i was trying to work to pay the debts off faster but its going to need to go towards my support people instead.

Re: not coping

Oh that sucks @outlander. After everything you do for everyone else you would think someone would step up and help you for a change. I do get the hating on people though!

I hope you don’t have the flu. That’s pretty debilitating and you don’t need that right now. I hope your leg gets better soon.

Re: not coping

at this point im struggling to even find a lift there or back @Captain24 i even offered a nights accommodation as the place im staying in after has 2 bedrooms which means i can have someone stay with me but apparently not.
makes you feel very alone when im always helping people and often the first to put my hand up but when i need it every scrambles as far away as possible. so looks like i will need to pay for supports. im happy with the company im using and their pricing. its actually not to bad but its still alot at the same time when most people would have a parent or a friend or someone that would be happy to keep them company while recovering.

Re: not coping

Super rough when you're always the one doing the supporting hey @outlander. What happens if you ask the people around you directly for some company/support? Have you verbalised to them that you feel this way?

Re: not coping

Thanks just so hard @outlander. They can’t even find the time to take you? It’s so rough

Re: not coping

@Jynx i have and thats how i know.
i offered to pay for fuel etc if they were able to as well but apaprently everyones busy.
most of the ones around me dont speak to me unless they need something from me anyway.

last time i had a 'friend; stay with me and she ignored me the entire time despite me paying her for her time etc as well. it was a really hard recovery and i feel like i need this to be a positive experience this time. for my health it is worth it but i cant do it alone again this time

Re: not coping

@outlander aww hun, that's really rough. If only we could go with you, I can imagine a whole bundle of forumites would be racing to raise their hands to come be with you. Hope that things do change, that people start showing up for you in the ways that matter. You do so much for those around you and if they can't see that, then they're blind.

Re: not coping

it is really hard and the fact that while i do alot from family im so distant and they actually make me uncomfortable so i dont ask them for help for medical stuff. it causes more discomfort @Jynx but i thought i had a couple of friends but i dont hear from them unless i msg them first except for 2. one is away when im away as well otherwise she offerred to either drive me down or bring me back depending on work (she also uses me to vent and vent and vent for hours though but at least the offer wouldve been there) and the other im closer to but she has a medical phobia in a way and wont come. the rest i only ever make contact when they need me for something and get offended when i dont make contact with them.

its really hard when you look around and you really dont have anyone. its going to cost about 4k to get the required supports. i guess i could take some of that off but then it almost defeats the purpose of having the supports there i guess
