Re: not coping

thats why its so hard @tyme

thats what all these decisions are based on. i dont know whats right whats wrong, trying not to give up or give in.

i didnt get those jobs and i know that sometimes its not meant to work out and there will be other opportunities but it sort of just adds to the toughness now.

what young person whats to put someone in a home that theyve lived in and give up their house of 40 odd years . its alot

Re: not coping

At the same time, is there more stimulation being at home day in, day out with one person caring for them, or is a group environment with specialised care more stimulating @outlander ?

You are one person. You can only do what you can do. If others want to do it, they are more than welcome to.

Re: not coping

i see what your saying @tyme but the mood changes are hard. thats why i know that even though its really hard its the right decision to keep making progress.
the day program is set up. next week is the assessment for permanent care which will be the very hard one.
i keep wondering what to do with this house its cheap enough rent but its such a trigger for me and i dont want to be here. im just thinking of the extra expenses that arent even going to be mine. im so lost at the prospect of this new house. people keep putting the bad idea in my brain about my future plans and questioning things which is normal but then it keeps making me question why and what im doing.

Re: not coping

I hear it sounds like there's so much to consider right now. Do you think you could park the house on the side, and wait until the assessments are done @outlander ?

This may give you more insight into what you can do with the house?

Also, wasn't there someone living there who was free-boarding?

Re: not coping

They’ve moved out a couple of weeks ago @tyme

And it’s just gotten harder here. We have the wandering and the depression and the paranoia from him here. Getting called names and all sorts of things right now because of a couple of hours being in a program

Re: not coping

Ah, so you had that to contend with too @outlander . I'm so sorry. No wonder you don't really want to stay there.

My urges are getting stronger. I can only hope he goes to bed soon so I can go to bed soon and sleep

Re: not coping

Oh @outlander . It's not easy at all. It's a lot to put on one younger person.

Hugs.

Please take care. I'll check-in with you tomorrow.
