Re: not coping

Even cleaning the house can be tedious @outlander I try and keep up with it but struggle. The only thing I really keep up with is the clothes washing. I kind of have to with the kids school uniforms.

Re: not coping

Makes sense @Snowie . I make sure all the things on the list are achievable 🙂 Sometimes, I put things on the list that I've already achieved. I have to set myself up for success.

Re: not coping

I like the idea of putting things on the list I have already done @tyme That way I could at least accomplish something for the day. With two teenagers, washing clothes would be on the list almost every day!!

Re: not coping

Let's practice self-talk for your situation @outlander :

Positive self-talk:

Negative self-talk:

Technical self-talk:

Answer these for yourself. No need to share if you don't want to.

Re: not coping

The idea of putting the stuff you’ve already done is a good one @Snowie @tyme

@tyme I can think of the first 2 but I can’t think for the third one. Like I know what steps to do sort of thing

Re: not coping

@tyme

negative self talk: its hard so it must be the wrong decision

positive self talk: it might seem hard right for a while but in the longer term it will get easier

im not sure on the third one

Re: not coping

Maybe technical and be something like "It will take XXX time to get used to it, and then it will get easier"? @outlander

Re: not coping

yeah maybe @tyme i dont really know.

everything feels hard and like all the responsibility is on me all the time because no one else wants to step up. it just feels like alot

Re: not coping

At the same time, if they don't have you, someone else WILL have to step-up @outlander . Hence, look after yourself first.
