Re: not coping

I hope your appointment goes well for you @outlander

I managed to get all the washing done, ironed and put away. But now there is another pile!!

Haven't got much planned for today. I am trying to keep myself occupied. I'm getting some unpleasant thoughts. I don't want to go there.

Re: not coping

Oh gosh @Snowie it really is never ending!
Are the kids back at school yet? I’m sure that’s not helping the washing situation lol.

Is it a nice day where you are? Can you take the dog for a walk to entertain yourself?

What about cross stitching?

Re: not coping

Kids went back to school yesterday @outlander so back to the norm.

Holidays really do go fast.

Was going to try and go for a walk today as long as the rain stays away. Sun shining at the moment, but we know how fast that can change!!

Have been writing in my journal a fair bit this morning. Two weeks and counting.

Re: not coping

they only go fast when you have older kids who are good to entertain lol @Snowie when theyre younger trying to find things to do is harder and usually goes slower
holidays are always harder for me cause of family stuff and trying to manage everything

a walk while the sun is shining. weve had lots of nice weather here but cold

journalling sounds like a good way to help get those thoughts out.

Re: not coping

They are very independent @outlander so holidays do go fast. However I am enjoying the quietness at home.

Trying to get some work done for a sporting company that I volunteer at. Have quite a bit to do, but don't mind the work.

No doubt you have to look after your siblings in the holidays as well as work and look after your pop.

Re: not coping

oh wow when did you start volunteering? @Snowie is it for your kids sports?

Re: not coping

I was coaching for about 18 years @outlander and then gave that up so have gone into sort of like and administrators role now. It is a club that I participated in for 20+ years as a kid, so D just followed in my footsteps.
