Re: not coping

ive taken to having some walks on the beach @Jynx i have been able to lately because of a surgery but ive been cleared to go walking more now so i think ill be ready to get back on the beach again soon. wehave some really nice weather forecast here so i hope to be able to get there across the next couple of days for a workout

i dont think ill have no motivation i secretly really want this job if i can meet their expectations. but i tend to get high hopes and then struggle with the downfall of it not pulling through.

Re: not coping

@outlander Oh so lovely! I don't have any decent beaches nearby, but grew up going all the time with family. It's got a special place in my heart 😊

Mm disappointment is a tough thing to sit with for sure. Maybe, regardless of what news you get, you could plan something to treat yourself? If you get it, it's a reward, if you don't, it's a comfort!

Re: not coping

im lucky in the sense i have the best of every setting @Jynx im both near semi rural type areas, city areas or not far from them, beaches and nature reserves so i am lucky i can really choose all sorts of scenery

i like the idea of treating myself regardless of the news. if this one falls through then theres another job im looking at applying for but i get abit overwhelmed knowing ive applied for to many things. i ahve a job currently but im looking to earn more and also branch out more. the second job isnt as rewarding or not really what im after but it would be a start so its an alright alternative if i dont get the initial one

Re: not coping

Aww so lush @outlander! I'm Melbourne based so anywhere lush is always a bit of a drive. There's a few spots relatively close to me though, and Melbourne has some pretty decent nature reserves, so luckily I'm not starved for choice. Love me some nature!

A foot in the door is still progress hey, even if it's not your preference. And who knows, the second option might still be pretty good - workplace culture is a huge factor so if it has good vibes, I reckon it'll be good regardless of the nature of the work.

And heck yesss treat yo self!!

I don't know if you've seen Parks & Rec but this is the message!!

Hello and hugs @outlander , @Jynx

I was called up to the doctors today as I have not had a check up since February, boy the doctor was not happy about it

So blood tests next week and regular check ups

Aww @Shaz51 I hope it's not too much of a hassle to get the tests. Good your doc is looking out for you.
