Re: not coping

ive tried massage and even though i didnt like accupuncture i tried it twice, ive also done photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), ultrasound therapy, an ankle block, joint injections, physio exercises and a physio appointment to review it each fortnight, currently doing abit of mirror therapy and some psychology sessions as well too, plus im already on nerve medications as well @Zoe7 its been a really crazy time

Re: not coping

Accupuncture can take several sessions to begin working properly @outlander I was lucky enough that after 4 sessions I found significant improvements. I hated it every time but it did make a difference. We are all different though - what works for one will not for another. I also tried accupuncture for my neck but that made very little difference. I hope you find something that helps.

Re: not coping

thats true, i wasnt too keen on the accupunture. did you find it to painful to do? they said the muscles did release abit more in conjunction with the massage but i found it was increasing pain and made spasming and cramping within my foot and leg worse. did it make it worse for you? i realise your was maybe more soft tissue related so maybe helped abit though after a few sessions @Zoe7

Re: not coping

Anything nerve related is notoriously difficult to treat @outlander 😢💕

Re: not coping

thats true @Eve7 i might be able to get like free advice from maybe something like LegalAid or i think some charities have someone who gives free advice so might be worth just enquiring but your right finding someone who is good is really hard esp for medical things

Re: not coping

It wasn't too bad @outlander Much less pain than I expected and it did help. I had physio on my neck for ages and it always got worse after each session but made a difference longer term. I still have pain and discomfort but will have that all my life - nerve damage cannot be reversed.

Re: not coping

yeah ive tried heaps for a previous neck injury too but nothings helped and the pain physician and neurosurgeon said nerve damage there too so i feel you. makes it so hard hey esp when we know its lifelong and have to try to accept it somehow @Zoe7

feels like my entire nervous system is damaged at this point and really starts to affect me mentally too.
