Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@eudemonismI hear you, the concept and purpose of religion gets defeated in pursuit of selfish motives and I don't mean it for any particular religion.

Sometimes I feel that the mental health system is actually targetted at saving family and others around the affected person and while doing that, happen to ignore the person actually suffering.

Its a shame for the society to be so indifferent. That is why we need to realise the need to be an active participant in our own recovery.

Stay strong and believe in yourself - as they say its the darkest just before the dawn.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@mohillI thanks for all the support and helping so much. But there is something going down in my mind everyday. That I just can't comprehend or get my head around. And it truly does drive me around the bend.

Not being able to do what I need and want too for example. Because of medication side effects. And not just that... Also not being able to find some peace of mind each day... Because of the medication side effects... And then having to resort too... Other stuff which drives me around the bend also...

It ends up being. One big negative cycle which has no end... Eude.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hi everyone

Coming to terms with reality:

(that's a tough heading to write about) -

I am scared of coming to terms with reality. I am so scared of what my life will be ahead. What lies ahead for me. I am so scared of the now and the after.

Coming to terms - who do you come to terms with reality? Self love, compassion, empathy. Realising you have a mental illness and it's okay?? I don't know.

I wish i knew.

BB

@eudemonism

my heart truly goes out to you...

I want to drive over to where you live right now...I want to speak to those who are assigned to help you..

you are telling me that you are not being heard...

I know how that feels...it is very painful...

I also know that I have started to hear my own voice....I have spoken up for myself so many many times now and I am stronger within myself....

all of my self negative patterned thinking is not liking this stronger mohill..

your side effects of medication are one issue...

they are debilitating from what I have read for a period of time and then they pass...

The real Eude is still there beneath the medication...beneath all of the symptoms...

The Eude who wants so much to have a better life...

If the medical people in your life now are not listening to you....you have the right to seek new ones..

you will get through this struggle when the medication wears off...that is the time for change to start..

we are hear to listen to you every day in the meantime..

you are important and please tell yourself that...

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hi @BlueBay welcome to the thread. It's a broad topic heading. So feel free to write about whatever comes to mind...

I myself notice the battle between the psychical and mental elements of life. It's pretty much like a tug of war. And is effected hugely bye my desire to eliminate or manage my own suffering and anguish. Which is near impossible to do.

For me, it has all mainly been about my mental suffering. Which I believe is caused bye my physical life. Past, present or imagined future. And there is this element of unknown about my physical life. Which my mind absolutely dreads. Eude.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Former-Member each day I am learning something new about the Christian faith. And not all of it is good. It's definitely a story of forgiveness. And it's an ongoing story. And I dread having to continually forgive the myriads of spiritual people in my mind. And whatever I have against anyone. On a continuing basis. But it's easier then seeking revenge, justice and punishment. For the much and many wrongs which have been done to me and will continue to happen. Which I now anticipate and expect to happen on a daily basis. Eude. As it only comes back on me. Through karma, the universe, god or my conscience. And I need it just as much as others. However, it is very annoying when u feel people do it deliberately. As a way to gain power, strength and control for themselves. Even though I know the Father in heaven. Does sort things out. There's nothing worse then a battle of the earthly realm. Of who is right and
