Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Bunniekins@eudemonism

You are never alone. We are always here for you. This forum is absolutely excellent. I have just been away for a couple of weeks but I am still here for anyone who needs a chat. Thanks for quoting me @Bunniekins, I feel totally revived after my break.

@eudemonismSide effects are a real bitch and like any medication it never improves because you are often putting a toxin into your body which then fights off the toxin. My son’s currently having some probs with his meds which are causing a rash which is getting out of control and he needs to have some blood tests tomorrow to try and understand what’s happening. These are the physical side affects but there is also the behavioral side effects which are even more difficult to manage. Many medico don’t understand this and they don’t have the lived experience so it just turns into a continual road of trying to balance the good with the bad.

This is a very late response but I wanted to get slowly back into this forum after my extended break when I was feeling close to a breakdown.

Do hope everyone is well and keep truck’n and I wish you all a lot of pea’ce and love xxxx oooo

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Bunniekins yea I'm not a happy camper. Between my head injury, arm injury, my ears being pinned back because of teasing, my foot injury, the trauma of loosing my brother, and the things i repent and resent. Life has literally been a nightmare. Then the end result is getting diagnosed, medicated and managed. It's really not good...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Dadcaringalonethere's no quick fix answer unfortunately... the system is a joke as far as I'm concerned, definitely don't work that well... i told myself years ago... the system is therevto mop it's own mess up, with no regard for the individual's, it is involving...

I would really like my point of view, to be more respected by all the treating team, along with my opinion about the causes, solutions and nature to my own problems; instead of their opinon walking all over myself...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

hello @eudemonism

Dear Eude

Am short on words at present...practising some self-care

still want to find some to send caring thoughts your way..

You have come a long way looking back over your thread to get to today..

I am very proud of you Eude...

You have the right to walk into pdoc with your head held up high and your list of questions..symptoms...

Will be supporting you all of the way in my mind..

If you can try not to make a decision about how you feel about new pdoc at the first session...

You are both getting to know one another....no different really to the animal world has odd as this might seem...animals circling...sniffing one another...natural instinct of survival..

As much as you want this to be fixed straight away...it needs to be done with thought and care...trust gained..

Will check in later to see how you went...

A big hug for you...Mister...Purrpurr and Monti
