Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Hello @A2Z

thanks for your suggestions.....posing questions respectfully is a good way of finding out how a person is feeling or what they would like to talk about

hello @Adek

I imagine that it is hard writing on here from another country...even though you have access to the forums the same as we do

also english not being your first language....at times responding with the english language might not be the best way of you expressing something very meaningful to you

please if you ever feel misunderstood or unable to express yourself fully always ask for help...that shows great strength in my eyes

having said that I think that you express yourself very clearly using a second language

how do you say my friend in your language? I would love to learn a few words of your language if you are open to that concept and of course feeling well enough.

take care

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hi @Former-Member...

Friend = kawan / sahabat / teman
My @ of mine = saya / saya punya / ku

My friend = temanku / sahabat saya / saya punya kawan etc etc..u can say it in 9 ways depending on the friendship and expression.

So u see...its hard for me to express my thoughts in just simple English like the word "my friend" 😂. Anyways.. as one of the 200 fully signed-up participant for SANE 2017 Bipolar App (non-clinical trial)... i'm hopeful my real-time experience will soon be converted into a systematic data by the program despite my haphazard speech here 😊... and contribute to help MI esp BP patients out there.

This App which will be fully launched for public in 2018 is expected to help 200,000 - 450,000 people suffering the symptoms of bipolar throughout the world .. https://www.sane.org/about-sane/sane-bipolar-app

Selamat Datang @Adek

In my church during the sign of peace I say that to the Indonesian and Malays in our choir. My Jewish friend in the RC choir says "shalom".

Sometimes when I have a sense of humour I might say "G'Day" I know the Eternal One understands my mental workings and that helps me a lot. Mostly though I just say "peace".

I have not been in KL since 1981. There was a lot of high rise and concrete then. A big progressive city.

@eudemonism @eudemonism Thank you very very much.

I did not make my zoo shift today as I was over medicated for it, but otherwise have been quiet and productive, catching up on things and doing singing practise..

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Welcome @ Selamat Datang to you too @Appleblossom 😉. I was just 10 yrs old when u were here..but later went to your country 10 yrs ago. ,,@mohill..frankly i have achieved nothing especially when it concerns interpersonal skill. Really need a lot of restructuring in here.

One our eldest spiritual guide passed away yesterday at the age of 106. I am still startled by the news cuz last whole week i constantly had him in mind..then suddenly the news came. Having racing thoughts right now i cant focus on anything at the moment. Luckily the kids have all gone back to campus am looking forward to some "me-time" now. @eudemonism...hope you are getting by & being productive too like @Appleblossom despite all.

Take care..

@Former-Member I am sure I meant to tag you but I double tagged @eudemonism and didnt check before I posted.

Silly me .. lol .. scarf toss and cyber laugh with you. @Former-Member

@Adek I credit the positive experiences I had in your part of the world as giving me hope in humanity. I spent 6 months in South East Asia and they are wonderful memories. I was 20 when I left Australia and turned 21 on Lake Toba on my way to Medan and KL.

My mother's tongue was not English so I am always very conscious of language and ethnic issues. I think that is why I sing a lot now.

I was wondering which city you were in as I was really curious about your lifestyle of seeing all the free academics. It is possible in a well developed city. I am in Melbourne and I think I am going to do something similar. Just a couple of months ago I went to my first alumni event and it was fabulous and may have even given me new friends. First I have to settle some of my accomodation issues.

All good.

Shalom. My last post reminded me to call my Jewish friend and it was perfect timing and very good decisions were made.

Gentleigh Bentleigh is one of my silly sayings.

ALL who read this thread.
