Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Yes I am a teacher @eudemonism Haven't worked for 2 years now but hoping to get back to part-time work this term. There are still a lot of 'hurdles' to jump over as the process is complicated but it is under way and all I can do now is wait.

What do you like to do to fill your time?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Well @Zoe7 i baaically do everything out of necessity and not out of pleasure. I've been avdsp recipient for around 7 years now. However i do get a little satisfaction and enjoyment from gardening, cooking, cleaning, fishing, walking, spending time with people, going for drives. However it's all been a very vein venture. But like i said it's a case of necessity and not pleasure. My life is basically spent dealing withvmedication side effects, it's not a good way to look at things, but it's petty much how it is. I've smoked plenty of cigarettes, drank plenty of alcohol and coffee, had my fair share of drugs. And it was all in the name of looking for a quick fix and an escape, pharmaceutical drugs are not much different, they actually probably induce suffering if anything... ps I really don't like the structure of society we live in... do you have diagnosis and take meds?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

It is so tough being in that position @eudemonism - and not getting enjoyment out of anything really is super hard to live with - have been there and know how hard it is.

I have been on many different meds over the last 2 years - most have had side-effects - the ones I am currently on I had minimal side-effects that have eased as my body has gotten used to them. With supplements and meds to counteract the effect of other meds I currently take 14 tablets a day - I have some physical issues as well that need to be kept monitored and under control as best we can.

MH diagnoses ...Depression, anxiety and complex PTSD

How about you?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

14 tablets a day!.. wow... that must be difficult?.. I'm unhappy about 1 injection every 28 days... I've always resisted against treatment, medications, the system and professional's... I've got a diagnosis of schizophrenia, at first it was depression with psychotic features, then it was ptsd... who really knows? I'm going to switch off in a minute and do some self talk / talking to God tehehehe like I've always done... I'll ask him 'when Will my Time be up? again
