Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Sophia1 i basically can't bare the withdrawal symptoms of tobacco... I'm backed into a corner... with caffeine, alcohol, nicotine & the medication they are giving me... the entire system is corrupt...

Without self medicating and the social life that comes with this... @Sophia1 i really am up sh!+ creek without a paddle... Everything I'm trying to comprehend, gauge and come to terms with... while using every ounce of my rationale, practicality, logic & common sense... tells me I'm loosing big time...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

hello @eudemonism

It is so good to hear from you even though you are not feeling in a good place still...

Thank you for responding and trusting these forums to share how you feel...

I can read between the lines that you are very drained and weary...tired of attempting to give up the caffeine ...nicotine..self medicating...

extremely difficult for every single being who attempts this....takes several tries...you are not alone there..

you have tried pat yourself on the back for that...

an ever spinning merrygoround feeling perhaps...that is how I feel when I am just too overwhelmed and drained...

as hard as it is this is the very time that we must look after ourselves...

work at letting go of all of the "stuff" spinning around in our head...

acknowledge that it is there but it can just do it's own thing in the background...more important to look after yourself physically...mentally by resting..letting yourself just be at one with nature ...noticing that beautiful part of your world..

It might also be time to accept that you need some more professional help...this is not a sign of giving up or going backwards...

a sign of showing strength ...insight...self awareness...bravery actually

are you able to see if you can get an urgent appointment with the new psychiatrist....?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 i get so angry about everything that's going on... i feel so helpless toward everything... the help that's available seems like the biggest hindrance I'm faced with at times... my thoughts can get so angry and violent... when really I'm just desperately crying out for help...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Yeah @eudemonism I bet a lot of people feel similarly.

My son was outraged that they would give out tobacco but not a pen and paper for him to do some journalling.

The system does need to look at the things it takes for granted.

Also heard of many people who have gone back to smoking after a hospitalisation when they may have kicked the habit for years.

In my life, I can often only concentrate on one big variable. SO I dont try and do it all at once, tho sometimes that can work, as a big change can trigger a good big shift. SOrry to be vague ...

Just keep taking care of business ... lol ... if you know what I mean ...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

It seems that I'm always having to admit I'm wrong. And I'm the one with the problem. And it's truly doing my head in. @Sophia1

Everything negative is based around having to admit I waz / am / OR Will be in the wrong, be responsible for that, take accountability, learn from this, adjust my behaviour accordingly and make amends for it as best i can.

And the collaborative picture of society thinks this is great. Because they feed from it all day long...

Positives for myself... are when the opposite occurs... when the collaborative pictures of individuals in my society... admit they were / are / will be... in the wrong, take responsibility, take accountability, learn from this, adjust their behaviour accordingly, and make amends for this as best they can. So in turn i can feed from it...

It's driving me into a addiction... it's literally making my life a nightmare...

Nobody wants to be in the wrong-because they realize it comes with punishment... everybody wants to be in the right... because they realize it comes with reward...

Every time it happens... I'm having to forgive them... -and they feeding from it... (through thougths, & feelings of power, strength, control, health, wealth, happiness and the actions that follow suite) -because they believe it makes them right... -and they are doing it through punishment... -and yes... i believe they are feeding from it in every way they possibly can...

It's pushing me into an increasingly deep, dark and morbid place-which I'm having to call my life........

The thing is @Sophia1 when i am feeling punished... i either forgive them and retreat... ( into my dark places) or i try to make it right (which they feed from / for their own benefits) or when i am rewarded... because I've tried to make it right (the expectations just get higher and higher) according to their own interpretations of right and wrong...

What is right for myself???

It's the very finest essence of winning and the rewards and loosing and the punishment against the competitor... in a mental, spiritual, emotional and pyhsical sense...

@BlueBay@Appleblossom@Faith-and-Hope@TAB@Bella

Sorry you all had to go through my breakdown... but yea i literally feel I'm at the breaking point...
