Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Hello @eudemonism

I read that you have been doing much inner searching for answers....

It is a human reaction to attempt to find out whys....to find a person to blame....to become to resent some people who have caused much pain...

As you are a christian you will know that forgiveness is vital to alleviate some of these neverending negative...damaging thoughts...

forgiveness is important for self...

forgiving our past choices allows us to be more in the present...

not an easy exercise...one that needs much practice....the negative patterned thinking will return to egg you back whenever it can...

attempting to focus on the new....positive thinking encouraging further learning is a part of your journey for a better quality of life...

I hope that your appointment is coming closer for the new psychiatrist...to talk about this and medication moving forward...

remember try hard to be gentle and forgiving with yourself Eude....

will speak to you when I can get back on internet...

bye for now

take care

big hug.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Yea I'm hearing you @Sophia1

I think I've got two key points in my early childhood where i confabulated a couple of things to fill a gap in my memory. And i think the gap in memory may have been caused by my head injury and the trauma.

Or just in the process of looking for answers for my head injury accident, and for my future... i possibly confabulated a few things. The worst bit is resorting to these confabulations and all the other symptoms that have stemmed from them - that involves lots of other important people - these confabulations are an attempt by myself to find / create answers.. And to not be able to tell the truth from confabulation makes me angry, emotional and upset..

Hello @eudemonism

I can totally understand what you are saying...

memories are altered slightly every time that they are recalled....this is a natural process..

to try and piece together parts of memory from a very traumatic time is extremely painful for you...

this is something that you can talk about with your psychiatrist....he or she will suggest some strategies to take away some of the intensity of the feelings along with encourage and support you to talk about them when you need to...

warmish day here today along with dreaded wind....not gale force winds like on tuesday though....

about to set off with cats to new temporary home....they are not happy already...

@Former-Member & @frog

I'm trying to give up smoking or at least cut down. So I've decided to spend my money elsewhere and buy nico gum instead of the real stuff. And each payday I'll be writing a list of things i can achieve.

All and any support
Is muchly appreciated
