Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Bunniekins finish my pack of chips is about all I've got planned. Yea there is too many expectations in life. It's like you can't do anything without getting something wrong or falling below the standards. Your evening sounds very relaxing.

Have a good night

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Well @Bunniekins I've spent some time with someone today. And spoken with a couple other people, in a phone call. And I'm still waiting to hear back from a message I left with another person. Apart from that I've done very little. Had breakfast, had lunch, swept the path, showered and I'm just settling down for an afternoon slumber.

Accepting suffering is one thing, doing something about it to lessen the impact is two things, and forgiving and continuing to forgive the people involved in the causes of suffering is three things...

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@eudemonism Hi eudemonism I would not advocate anyone to stay in an abusive relationship. My dad was a nasty drunk and as soon as I could leave home I did. In saying that now I look back and forgive him to move on myself he did some really nice things which has made it hard for me to totally despise him.

In other words when I was around him I suffered but once I was able to get myself away from him I free of my suffering. I have made peace with my father.

@Bunniekins I'm not sure what my problem is... Maybe mi is a natural part of being a human being. And maybe the world has used it against us. I think it's all really screwed up too be honest.

I'm trying to work out what's really going on. And I'm trying to work out the answers. And all I'm getting... Is a really negative storyline in return. Where lots of people have done or are doing the wrong thing toward me. And all I can really do is cop it sweet.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@eudemonism I was talking to @Mazarita just yesterday about myself and my son and how there was alot of finger pointing (and still is) regarding him and me for that matter being a carer (some how being a carer with a mi is not valued ... anways). I was saying to Maz I have developed a toughened shell to protect myself. Luckily my son doesnt notice the 'finger pointing' half the time but I do however I choose to ignore it.

I refuse to become bitter or mean about it that is not in my nature. That is my only suggestion to you is to protect yourself but dont let the meaness change who you are.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Bunniekins Yea. I'm really disappointed that I'm not doing something positive and constructive with my life. I'm having all these thoughts of doing positive life giving activities which I enjoy. But am writing them off before I've even done any of them. Fair enough it's all negative thinking cycles that are cqueibh

Cont. Causing this. But I blame it on the medication... And blame it on the people in my life. And everything I'm doing as an alternative is doing my head in.
