Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Friendconnect

haven't heard that one before...

I know that this is a negative response....giving out so much love and care to others and not myself has lead to me being where I am....add in all of the external trauma....

so I am happy to go with the first part for myself...life is nothing without love and care...

time to prepare dinner...

oh joy...do so not feel like it yet again...

bodies need fuel...

take care

@Former-Member...
You've got me there .. I had the same thing on my mind after the post .. ha ha ha

My understanding is....
Give it to everyone... and that "everyone" first and foremost includes you yourself.... totally agree. I have had very similar experiences and conclusions. Amazing...

And I think that's the limitation of becoming Jesus in a human form ... you just have to put yourself first. You can't pour out from an empty cup!

And that's why we always bow down to God.... that's the only cup that fills up all others... never runs out.

Ahh.. this is just me thinking loud ok... feel free to ignore/argue. I am enjoying this conversation 😊

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Also @Former-Member... that's the reason one relationship with God/divine is so so important as that's the only relationship which you can trust wholeheartedly... and one always gets forgiven for ones sins the moment one realises... and is a perennial source of unconditional love.

How many times are we thankful or grateful for all the love being offered... and stop complaining of smallest thing missing. That's a big reason of suffering.. "expectations" from self... from others...

What if
we expect less... love/accept more
complain less... appreciate more

@Friendconnect

glad that I made you laugh and most importantly you got where I was coming from....

I believe in spirituality....that faith for all deities is one faith....

for me it does not matter what religion another person follows ...that is their belief ...which is their right...

I don't mind chatting with you at all...except I have to go and cook dinner which I do not feel like doing in the least...but we all need to eat...

there is another thread about christian chat and worship praise prayer support fun...some lovely people there for you to meet also...this is under social spaces on the lived experience forum..outlander is often on there...she is just so lovely....if you haven't met her...

have a read and see how you feel..

will look for you when next on perhaps later tonight and chat if you are available...

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hi @Former-Member I picked up on some struggles in your reply to me... It's good you can talk about it when need be... Suffering is such a primal thing (I believe) life is about suffering... Not that we notice it on the outside of others we see in the street or people on the TV... I actually think... That's it's greedy and self centred for one not to share their problems and sufferings... Cause I believe it's human nature to help others with their suffering... But how can we do that if they have it all together and it's always some else's fault and they feed from others sufferings and all their coping mechanisms are negative and effect the people around them negatively...? How will a logical, rational and practical solution be found? This is a situation I believe I am in with a few in my inner circle of associates at the moment... It quickly becomes a case of... Sensing negativity and disconnecting... And going into the mind for answers... Eude.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Friendconnect I try to express my problems and suffering with my inner circle of associates. (usually mental and emotional stuff) . And I'm getting this icky sympathy in return. Which is coming from people who ain't in a good way themselves. And I disconnect from that stuff. Really quickly. (and turn to vices (the opposite of this is priceless) . Because it's based around. Them getting a smug and snide feeling from it. And some form of emotional rush in their mind. Which sticks me in that position. So they can perform the sympathetic act again and join them in their negative ways. Where really... What I'd prefer is... To be working on actions toward my values... So I get a good feeling in the body... Which then naturally effects my mind... - there is thousands of stuff I can do for my body and physical world... Which will improve feelings and mood... It's hard to make happen when I'm getting the icky sticky sympathetic act pulled on me though... And than they just brush my advice off... And I end up thinking... Oh well... This is just how it is and then become very disconnected and discontented... Eude.

Hello @eudemonism

I don,t show my suffering to the world...I discuss general things..ask about others..

my family did not like acknowledging my illness once diagnosed..neither did my ex husband. No one at the time did..so I lived burying it..

then I talked only to my psychiatrist and go..

now I have a different psychiatrist since this diagnosis ..I don,t need to share it with anyone else..

you probably won't find empathy among that group of people if they have negative vibes..

you don't need their pretence either..

it is human nature to have self doubt ..inner fear..flaws...some people have a lot of confidence..not necessarily a high self-esteem though

you don't have to put up with smugness..insincerity...

if they have nothing nice to say..don't hang around to listen...better on your own than with nasty people..

@eudemonism

We can,t help everyone..

some people do not want help..their choice..

we do need to look after ourselves first..

when we are more comfortable with ourselves...more positive people are attracted to us..

disconnected feelings happening?

Can you move away from them and distract yourself with your writing ...or as you are on here

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hope you dont me saying hello and dropping in @eudemonism I was enjoying your conversation with @Friendconnect and @Former-Member

I like much of your way of thinking. Maybe it is similar to the way I think. I have heard that it can be difficult to come off the depot medication but perhaps if you can search around for a mh worker pdoc, case manager, social workeretc who would support you to transition on to oral meds. It could be a plan. Maybe a new psychologist on a mental health plan. They probably need to get to know you first, but if you are reasonably stable ... its worth a shot ...

Just a picture I like ... community of musos ... a bit comic ...
