hey @outlander
thanks again for your encouraging words 🙂
I kinda have friends doted all over the place which is probably good and bad. Good for variety but bad because it means no proper groups form. But maybe that's just how it is for me. You are exactly right about keeping good friendships when having anxiety and depression. I had an anxiety attack on new years day this year at a friends place and i realised it was because of the people - i just had nothing in common with them after a year or two of being involved with them.
Was a hard lesson to learn amongst everything else that is going on my life atm. But still... I'm glad I removed myself from it. Gave me a chance to repair myself.
I've tutored in extensively in humanities subjects. So history, english etc. Most places want you to have an ATAR of 90+ but I just lie on my application about my ATAR and make up for it with enthusiasm and experience (4 years here and there). My psych told me about the 'dark triad'. It's basically where narcissim, psychopathy and machiavellianism all mix together to create your sense of determination. If we don't do it then we are short changing ourselves.
Two of my students have told me that I'm a good tutor. So I need to remember this. It's a small fact. But it's good.
I honestly don't care that I've never had a gf. Like who gives. Most people do it because they want respect from their peers - which I think is silly. You don't do that to get people's respect.
Life is just tough atm. It's not helped by psychologists at the hospital saying dumb stuff like 'if you got a job you'd be okay' or that my clothes were too dark.... felt like that psych was taking the piss
i went to group support last night too. A new one. Was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Very good group. Once a month they meet but I think that's good. They have others around sydney too so i might test them out as well. I find listening to other's experiences always helps.
This forum is great too!
