no we haven't met before, i only joined a few days ago. i am still trying to get my head around this place. it's hard to navigate on my phone. I am prodding along i guess. i've only just been newly diagnosed with schitzo effective disorder and i am reading up about it at the moment. its all pretty new to me but apparently i have been like this a long time??? i don't understand it, i really don't. Sorry i tend to ramble a fair bit. i wonder if that's also part of my disorder. *sighs* lol i bet you wish you didnt ask now @Bubbles3

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Hi @Bettinae21 ......

I switch between my phone and my iPad.

If you scroll up to the top of your screen you should find “Home > Social Spaces” there somewhere ......

If you click on the word Home it will take you to the Sane Home page. There you will find the names of the two forums that co-exist here ...... Lived Experience, and Carers. At the moment you are accessing the Lived Experience side, which is predominantly for people who are life-challenges with mental health issues of a personal nature. Carers is what it sounds like ..... predominantly for family, friends, carers of people woth mh challenges, because sharing life means sharing the condition, albeit from the outside for the carers, who have struggles of their own against situational depression and burn-out.

In other words, we are all in this together. Some LE people are also carers for other family members, so there is a degree of cross-over.

If you stick to the LE side by clicking on that choice, a series of discussion topics come up, including Social Spaces where you are now.

I hope that helps you to navigate a little more easily.

You can also type key words into the Search bar, which should be located beneath the Reply box at the bottom of this page.

Hi @Bettinae21, I'm a schizoaffective disorder warrior too. Pleased to meet you.

I don't know if rambling is part of the disorder or not, but I think it makes you a genuine person with less barriers around you. Rambling is a-ok by me! I ramble too!

Think we all do @Queenie re rambling .....

Love the warrior addition ..... I relate to that word too ..... peaceful warrior mostly.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Yes my psychologist said that I can think of my extensive (major) surgery scars as "Battle Scars" - I guess that makes me a warrior too, although a reluctant one...

I think I would rather just run away, then come back when the battles are over...

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?

Hi @outlander having my first bleh day of the Christmas/New year period.

Social worker ramge yesterday to make sure I am ok.
Typically the period of time from 30th Dec to the 7th Jan is very difficult for me.
Well usually it's the 23 Dec to 7th Jan that is one of my dangerzones.
I have had a good time this Christmas. Enjoyable !!

Just need to survive the next weekish.
