Re: Anyone feel like chatting?
Oh yep got you @soul My ex decided he didn't want anything to do with us when the boys were 6 and 4. Now lives in Qld. We have seen probably 10 times since he left. My son has been contacting him but he is emotionally unstable and has not been very nice, saying all sorts of things about myself and the family. Unfortunately as much warning as I gave j about contacting him, he is an adult and needed to see it for himself. Even though it hurts to see him upset. We don't talk about him much in our house, we have our new family now.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?
My daughter and her father have no contact. Not even happy 21st last year. So sad but that's what it is. He was absolutely disgraceful to her. I'll never be able to forgive him for how he treated her but she seems to have accepted that he won't be a part of her life. He was never a hands on father anyway. I felt like a single parent from the get go @lovemyboys. Nice that you are part of a loving family.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?
Thank you @soul thanks for sharing that. I think my boy is struggling to accept that his father doesn't want to be in his life, but then it confuses him when he calls him up and promises to be nice if can he come up to visit him in QLD because he'd like a visitor. It's tough. He was here for T's funeral and quickly left. Didn't come down in the week he was unwell or anything. Didn't come to J's 21st. It's hard to forgive somebody who decided one day that he no longer wanted a family and left his two children and wife behind. And fails to understand how painful that was.

@soul whenever he has issues with his father I just try to remind him that he has a beautiful step father and siblings how that value him so much.

Re: Anyone feel like chatting?
That is so lovely for him and you. I am so sorry that my kids didn't have the sort of father they deserve. I should have left many years before I did. Stayed in the marriage for their sake @lovemyboys.
