The great yoga adventure

The great yoga adventure

Hi all,

So...somehow I seem to have made myself a deal with @CheerBear that we are both going to venture into the super scary world of yoga next Monday. I'm SCARED!!!! I've been trying to psych myself up to go to a class for about a year and now thanks to a pesky little care bear, it seems like it is going to happen next Monday.

I have my mat and my outfit (and thanks to @Former-Member and @Former-Member I know to wear underpants under yoga pants ). Now I just need to find some courage. Hmmm...courage...I'm sure I have some here SOMEWHERE in my shell...

Only six sleeps away. This sounds way too close. Yep, this little turtle is going to need to do some serious psyching up before next Monday!!! All encouragement is warmly welcome.

@Phoenix_Rising - thank you for your perfect and thoughtful choice in baby goats for me. I really appreciate that you remembered my goat from yesterday. I want to collect the whole set.

That disabled one is a lot like me at the moment. I will nurture her and she will strive to do the best she can according to her ability.

Re: The great yoga adventure

@Phoenix_Rising fear not, yesterday was busy so I eagled first thing in the morning before things got too rushed to make sure I wouldn't miss it! I'm pretty determined not to end up with an incomplete set of Seven Dwarfs. XD
I'll update the thread later when I've done today's eagling too 🙂

Well done @Shaz51@TheVorticon. @Sans911 - I reckon that even if you manage to put your arms together without the twisting, you'll get a baby goat.

@Phoenix_Rising - my yoga studio should be back in operation tomorrow. I have just booked five classes. I have eagled today after two walks - one with and one without the dog - 11kms so far.

I walk a lot @Shaz51 - this was pretty short for a Sunday. But I will be going out later to the movies and will walk the pooch again probably later tonight.

Re: The great yoga adventure

Good evening everybody, I have eagled today, have you?

@Sans911 Oh I am so superly duperly excited that you felt inspired to have a go at being an eagle yesterday. You have definitely earned a baby goat. There is no "failure" in yoga - you just do what you can do. My teacher often tells the class that we should send ourselves gratitude just for making the effort to be there. Here is your baby goat - take good care of her!

@soul I have no doubt that you will take extra special care of the extra special baby goat you received yesterday. I'm sure you will tell her every day that she is wonderful just as she is and she will know that she is just different, not less. Yay for eagling today. Here is the final baby goat to complete your set.

@TheVorticon. Phew, I'm super glad you eagled yesterday. It would not be good at all to have an incomplete set of dwarfs! I have every confidence that you will eagle sometime today so that you can complete your set.

@Shaz51 Wow, eagling after a super busy day yesterday and eagling again today even though you are feeling achey. You sure must love your baby goats. Well I guess you'd better have another two then hadn't you.

Ok, I'm going to tuck all my remaining baby goats in for the night (and hope that some late eaglers report in so that I can send these baby goats to some loving homes tomorrow). Hey @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member, did any of you end up eagling at all last week. I can't believe this was your loopy awesome idea @Former-Member and you haven't yet managed to claim a baby goat. My living room carpet is just never going to be the same after this adventure!

Re: The great yoga adventure

@Pheonix_Rising Aww you just made my day, and she is positively perfect. She even looks a little like me! I will take super duper good care of her- I hope she gets on with the cat! You've also inspired me to keep trying the eagle pose, but to be honest I've been thinking about yoga for some time. I've just been put off by the Lycra wearing, super flexible reeds I've seen who can bend themselves into pretzels! I've now heard of fat yoga, and other alternatives, so might look further into it.

@soul your walk today just tires me out thinking about it. Last year, although depressed, I many a good hike once a week during autumn and winter. Sadly, this year, I'm incredibly unmotivated and increased social anxiety makes me less inclined to get involved with others. I don't even take a walk most days, and I miss that too. I just feel almost paralysed to give anything a go anymore. I hope one day the pleasure I get from it will return.

Take care of your baby goats everyone. They are super special from a lovely person.
