Something’s not right

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Hi @Bunniekins

Your mothers story is very inspiring - it's remarkable what medical specialists can achieve with surgery these days. Did your mother have rods put in? We see my husband's specialist on Friday and he will explain his options.

Congrats on your P - how could you not get one being a sweet pea lol. Seriously, you achieved much under the circumstances and have come such a long way - well done. Just goes to show what can be achieved with determination. Also sounds like your children are doing well - I think I remember you saying one of your male children had autism - how is he going now?

It does sound like you have helpful children - my daughter is still somewhat messy and I am still picking up after her, but her mannerisms are now good and she is more respectful. She is also independent which takes the pressure off.

I am working harder than ever, at my work, home, socially and on my cross stitch/embroidery artwork. Distraction is helping but am feeling the strain, so it's just one day at a time for now until better days rise up again. So good to read you are doing so well xx

Dear -Enigma- Good morning and wishing you a wonderfully kind day today. My mother had rods put in and yes I will be honest with you at first after the the operation she was a mess with the discomcomfort etc but now she is walking around and doing so well, Just be prepared that initially you might think after the operation that you have made a mistake in having it done it takes time. My eldest who has scoliosis also at rods put in at 16 and he was a mess as well but now is also doing well now. Hang in thee with your husband. All the best with how it all pans out.

Thanks for the congrats on the P ;D yes I was thrilled cannot wat to tell my psychiatrist about it.

Yes my middle son has autism/epilepsy/psychosis and moderate itellectual delay. His psychiatrist says if he didnt have autism he would be labelled as haing schizoprhrenia. He is a good son though and tries his hardest with all his burdens. i am very proud of him.

So happy for you that your daughter is being more respectful of you and tht she is independent which as you say takes the pressure off you some what. I hope that continues for you.

Gosh you have a busy schedule ... which reminds me werent you going to enter one of your beautful cross stich pictures into a competition? Did you do it? and which one did you choose/

love gp xxxxxx

Re: -Enigma-

Hello again @Bunniekins and @Former-Member

@Bunniekins - I am so glad to read your mother is doing really well now and that she has her quality of life back. My concerns for my husband is the lengthy healing period like your mum experienced - as we are suppose to beputting the house on the market in April/May. I am hoping perhaps he can put it off until after we move, but hubby wants to have it now. So it's a bit of a mess and we will just have to tough it out one day at a time hoping for the best outcome. I have been doing so much work around the house and outside to prepare for the sale and to keep up my other commitments, social life and interests - I am verging on exhaustion. But there is nothing else I can do - I am determined to cope. Just hope my own health does not give way. So I am under incredible pressure but hanging in there.

You are doing a great job with your children @Bunniekins - they sound like beautiful kids. Rewards don't get much better - and your own health has improved as well. Happy Days! - I am so happy for you. It's is good to read how a person's life ends up going well when they had been struggling previously - hope is never in vain! And tomorrow is a new day....

I have booked into a stitching retreat with fellow stitchers and an award winning artist - so have decided to put all my energy into stitching/embroidering a couple of this artists intricate designs (I can't now enter my other cross stitch artworks into this competition; - this artists designs are beautiful but very detailed and it will be hard work). They incorporate countless beads, speciality stitches and metallics - and I am doing my own conversion of it! I am a glutton for punishment!! - as I have to have this all done by the end of the year to enter into the competition at this particular retreat.

I have never met anyone who is going to the retreat - I am getting gamer and more adventurous thinking "what have I to lose and I want to make good memories, so I am stepping out of my comfort zone. We only Live once I figure. It's that passion within me that battles against common sense at times and my drive to not let anything stop me pursuing my dreams. I do love a challenge and I certainly have many this year. My schedule is crazy - truly.

How much longer will you be studying for @Bunniekins? Will you be undertaking Physics next year? Sounds quite exciting xxx

Hi @Former-Member

It was so good to read a post from you. Please tell me how you are going? I do totally understand how life can be so overwhelming - most of my life has been. I have questioned at times "will the trials ever end?". But now I think I go on auto pilot and just put one foot in front of the other. Not sure if that makes sense but it can feel relentless and I have to push myself a lot - but can end up enjoying moments of every day. And that is probably what's happiness is - in the moment. As best as it gets in this life I think. I am very grateful for those peaceful moments - makes the rest worth it and I can enjoy a sense of fulfilment with purpose at those times.

Thank you for asking after my daughter. She is very up and down at the moment. One day she seems happy and is pleasant and respectful. The next moody and can snap a bit at me - which I really don't need right now. But it's to be expected with all she is going through. She yet again entered into another relationship with someone who ended up not good for her (he was okay in the beginning), and this has caused waves in her life again. I just wish she could eventually meet the right person who won't hurt her. She is still working though and is stronger than she was before, but not easy to live with.

How is your daughter going now? Has her health stabilised? Did she continue to study this year? I have been thinking of you a lot. Sending warm hugs xx

Re: -Enigma-

@Former-Member Mum had to have her operation asap due to the doc saying it was a matter of months she would be bedridden if she didnt ... I dont know what it is like with your husband but really it is a big operation.

How exciting for you with your stitching! I cannot wait to see your work your other work was so beautiful they were like paintings in many ways I cannot imagine anything looking more impressive. You go and have a blast! I agree with the retreat what have you got to lose! All positves as far as I can see.

I dont know about the study it depends on how much I can get through. I am waiting the the Physics course to open up so am doing refresher courses which are great as it has been awhile since I have studied. I just go with the flow and try not to stress.:D xxx
