Something’s not right

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

The photo isn't visible yet - waiting with eager eyes 👀 haha.

I do understand how we can lose that stitching bug at times - but it does come back. Sometimes it's doing something else for awhile and then coming back to it. That is what I have been doing. I cross stitched the other night after a long break and I found it so relaxing....Have you written any more lyrics or writings lately?

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I'm always writing lyrics. I have a mind that never, I mean never stops. That's why xstitch helps. How is the writing thread preps going? I've been singing to a backing track, not my own song, but words I have always loved. Unfortunately since the fall I'm still very nasily, annoying, but I'll talk to GP next week as swelling should all be gone by now. Maggies ears perk up when I hit the high notes, that makes me laugh.

I would gladly send some rain your way, we have had enough for a while. I think it's coffee time, would you like one. Sitting in the community garden on a swinging chair listening to the birds. Speaking of birds. This morning as I gardened a magpie serenaded me for ages. He was stunning. I kept stopping to look and listen. So good for the heart and mood.

I heard some crafty chatter and had to pop over to say WOW @Former-Member and @Maggie. I'm so impressed - the detail is incredible! I can imagine they would take a loooong time to do.

And hugs and love to you @Shaz51. Lots of stuff happening for you 💓

Beautiful handicraft there @Former-Member. You must be very proud of it. Do you have a special place to hang it?

Re: Over The Edge

I'm having a really good day today thanks @Shaz51 😊 I have my kids, the cats, a cup of tea and my bean bag at the moment and it feels pretty good.

Hope you get some looking after you in there too as (I think it was) Maggie mentioned ☺

Re: Over The Edge

A thousand Irish welcomes (Ceade Mile Failte) dear @Maggie I love it, it's gorgeous! Will you frame this yourself when finished?

I am genuinely please you are always writing lyrics as you are so talented. Put them up here to share any time the mood grabs you - would love to read them. If my husband is saying they are good, it doesn't get much better than that haha. I would be too scared to show him my writings as he's a harsh critic lol. In one way a mind that never stops creating lyrics/stories is a wonderful thing for anyone who enjoys to be creative. As long as we can turn it off to sleep. My mind is temperamental that way - it will churn stories out when inspired. Otherwise it just doesn't happen. I would love to be able to write constantly like you. I really come alive at those moments - and it's so much fun!

I am half way through the writing prep and the beginning of the short story. I will continue writing this on the weekend and hope to have it finished soon. I actually can't wait to put it up on a thread here and get others involved. We will have a ball with it - not long now my friend

Today was eventful for me. I had two friends ring me up and pour their hearts out to me. These two friends never usually open up like that and are usually upfront happy go lucky. I felt honoured they felt they could open up to me like that. They are beautiful people and have been wonderful friends to me - I was pleased I could give something back to them. Uncanny though how they both rang on the same day.

I am always up for a coffee @Maggie especially with you - but may have to wait for the morning as when I consume caffeine I am like a cat on a hot tin roof lol. Not conducive at bedtime haha.

oh @Maggie, we are so alike. I am glad I am not the only one who sings and talks to the local bird wildlife. My Willy came for a short visit on my balcony again for a few minutes today - it has inspired me to get stuck into stitching him again haha. I took a photo of him awhile back, will see if I can find it and put a pic up. Not anywhere near as good as your photo - do you use a mobile phone to take your pics? Sending you a warm hug my friend xx

Re: Over The Edge

Hello @CheerBear - thank you. Yes, some of them they do take awhile to stitch. Depending how keen we are lol. My Angel took 6 months (about 20 hrs a week) to finish. My friends said they would not have the patience to attempt it. I find the stitching like a form of meditation that helps distract my mind relaxing it. Do you enjoy any type of craft/painting/writing?

I am starting a short story collaborative writing group soon. Would you be interested to join us in a joint effort to write a fictionous short story? It's nothing serious, just a fun creative writing venture and people can write as little or as much as they like when it's there turn. If you are interested I can explain more, if not that's fine. You can read then it and provide much appreciated feedback (and a kick start when we need it lol Always nice to get a post from you 💕xxx

Thank you @soul. I am relieved it's finally finished lol. It does make me feel good to gaze upon her - it was such a labour of love. I am thinking of hanging her up in my bedroom where she can watch over me. With all the situations I find myself in sometimes I think I must have a legion up there complaining that I work them overtime haha.

Do you like to write @soul? You are so creative and funny. Would you be interested in joining my short story collaborative writing group once I set it up? I think it would be right down your alley - no pressure though lol. Seriously there is no pressure as that is the last thing we would need here, but you would be welcomed with open arms if interested 🤗xx
