Something’s not right

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Re: Over The Edge

Thank you @Faith-and-Hope and @Maggie. My daughter told my husband of her intentions to see about this shared house arrangement - I hope it does come through. But at least she is seriously looking at moving.

I am lying in bed very woeful with the flu at the moment 🤒🤧. My daughter is in the next room listening to music as I type 🙉 She is calling out to me to make her some lunch 😨 which I politely replied she is capable of getting herself. She never gives up wanting me to do things go for her, sick and all. The pressure  She is working a shift this afternoon at 4:00 - I can't wait 🙏 I do like my peace.

Sorry to read that you are going through a dark period presently @Maggie - I thought this was the case. I have been through many this year and empathise as I know what you mean by being trapped with the negative thoughts. I hope this period passes soon for you and you can enjoy those beautiful simple things again. I wish for that for myself and feel this will happen eventually. The nature that surrounds you sounds so breathtaking that it brings a tear of joy to my eyes. What elation!! I love nature - it sounds like Tassie trumps there.

I was looking up the reasons for not being able to feel pleasure and it has a lot to do with ongoing acute stress. Which fits my situation to a tee. Hopefully this will resolve soon. I felt good on Tuesday, so that's a start - having the odd day here and there is better than nothing. I am hoping for it to be more constant soon and to get into a better rountine. My daily life is terribly out of kilter presently and can make me feel very ordinary. My goal is to change this around somehow.

I would so love to have a coffee with you too my friend. I noticed you posted at approx 6:30 this morning. What I would give to be able to get up at this time (the best time of the day - so much healthier). Due to stress my body clock is out and sometimes I don't get to sleep until 2:00am. It is really knocking me about and I hope to correct this sometime soon. I could really see us chatting over a coffee happily. We chat well here.

Cant wait to see your bulb being born!!! I remember feeling the excitement of this with my garden - particularly the one I had on our old property as I use to grow countless bulbs. I can smell the scent of the hyacinths now - just divine. I miss my old garden. I miss that part of my life. No use pining for what is gone though is it.

My daughter was young, innocent and beautiful and I was younger, fit and healthy. We had many friends on neighbouring properties whom we used to shared many a meal, laughs, good conversation and a beer with. We had so much fun. We even had cricket days on the open fields. Then one day this all changed when a mining giant came and bought up a lot of the land and divided a community. We had to fight a big legal battle and that being 14 yrs ago is when the stress began. It's been pretty relentless since with one thing after another. So here's hoping the next chapter in our life will be the better balance as otherwise I fear my life force will slip away. I am hoping that for you too @Faith-and-Hope 💕

How has your day been so far @Faith-and-Hope and @Maggie?

Re: Over The Edge

Had my daughter at the doctor with a wry neck a little while ago, so that is going to keep us busy with physio appointments for a while. Other than that, and a walk for my coffee this morning, it's fairly laid back today @Former-Member ....

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I sighed out loud when I read how your beautiful community had been divided, how sad, like losing family really, just for money, how empty.

Im having a washing day today being the bed, sheets, bedspread and airing everything. Exhausted now, it doesn't take much. My friend called in, she's having a hard time with her sister. So much stress there. At times I see a vulnerable person hiding behind a very loud exterior, not often, but enough to feel deeply there. I can only support as best I can, not much but given whole heartedly. People can be complex.

yes catching those moments of joy, brief as they are, they are priceless. I'm trying to slot in a small positive around all the negatives that overwhelm my mind. What a mind field it is in there, and it affects everything,,physical as well as emotional. I don't want to drag you down with me, you have enough to cope with, more than enough.

Tassie is beautiful. I've spent the last 30 yrs here and have no desire to go elsewhere. Not born and bred here, but very much home for me.

I imagine you getting your seaside garden going. Somewhere to breath in fresh air, relax and watch new growth.

Drink plenty and work the flu through your system if you can, and rest. So it looks like a quiet afternoon after 4pm, and you can re claim some peace. I've always been an early morning person, the best time of the day. I took a photo of the sunrise this morning, I'll send a pic, beautiful colours.

A hug my friend.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

The colours of your beautiful garden was the lift I needed. Thank you so much my friend. Can't wait to see them fully bloomed. Myself and husband have gotten worse with this flu probably because the temps have dropped. Our daughter isn't here as she is staying at the place she hopes to move into.

So myself and husband are too sick to drive up the road and get more food and meds etc. This is the big problem when there is no family members to rely on. The few friends we have, have their own issues so we won't ask for help. What a predicament. Similar happened years ago when I had a breakdown and my husband had stent surgery at the same time. No one to help us. It was so hard. I hope my husband doesn't end up in hospital and this heightens my anxiety because of his low immunity.

But regardless I am still here for you my dearest friend @Maggie. I think of you as a dear friend and if you ever need to talk I am all ears and heart because I love you. It won't bring me down - I do cope well and friendship and support is a two way street. You are such a beautiful person and you should not have to go through this struggle alone. We will go through this together and I will always be there for you. You are a breath of fresh air and a gift to me. Oh, I wish we could have that coffee together - as I feel so comfortable with you and feel a strong bond. And we would have so much fun, could talk honestly and openly to each other and support each other like sisters. To me you are a sister.

And the beautiful sunset and flowers really gave me such a boost. Thank you. It reminded me so much of the rural property we use to own - the sunsets were just like that and my garden full of bulbs. I so miss those day. I am soooo tempted to holiday at Tassie and after we move that's just what I am going to do. Perhaps you can tell me the best sites/shops/areas to visit there? How are you feeling today?

@Faith-and-Hope Hope your daughter's neck is getting a little better - I have had that and it is a painful condition poor darling. Thinking of you both ❤️xx

Re: Over The Edge

Thanks @Former-Member. It should be in the mend by the end of the weekend. Still too sore for Physio today.
