Something’s not right

-Enigma-

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Re: Over The Edge

Thank you for the lovely post @oceangirl. Hope your travels are going well, it is chilly here this evening so I think that winter nightwear was a good idea. Will be thinking of you and please keep us updated on how your hospital stay is going when you can. Lots of love xx

Hi @Maggie - I loved your pics, your cross stitch is gorgeous and you can paint too!!! Very relaxing, did you ever have art lessons. I use to do folk art painting and really enjoyed it. There is an art of blending paints and brush strokes if I remember properly. I use to do a lot of craft when I lived in the country. Was always too uptight to do so when living in the city. Living on the coast is beautiful but can be stressful at times due to high population and crowds. But we can't have everything. The location on the water where we will be moving to is much more private and more peaceful with the added bonus of being close by to everything.

Myself and husband are currently sick with the flu - a major worry for my husband due to his low immunity because of cancer treatments. So the GP gave him hospital grade antibiotics. So am keeping a close eye on him. Doesn't look like I will get to bingo tomorrow. Does it ever end?

We have tried to encourage our daughter to move soon, but she cries debts and it's like leading a horse to water. I do think she would enjoy the freedom when she does make the plunge as she can come and go (visit) when she pleases. She does that now as she can be away for days at a time (has another boyfriend). Her lifestyle isn't good, we just have to keep hoping she learns by her mistakes sooner rather than later. I have made it clear to her that she can't come with us - it's hard but she will ruin everything if I cave. She is doing a good enough job of that for her and us now.

I haven't pressed flowers before but just may give it a go. What a beautiful gift idea, I always love to receive something that others have made with love. Just makes it that bit more special.

I am sadden to read that you are the brunt of someone's else's unprovoked anger or temper tantrum. Don't be intimidated my friend - walk away when this is aimed at you letting her know that is unacceptable bad behaviour. Then let her come to you. You deserve better. I know no one is perfect and how hard this is to do, but anger directed at us can mentally scar and we both have had enough of that.

My daughter still hasn't addressed her debts and is looking at going to jail if she doesn't act soon. It just isn't a normal reaction and it can do my head in. I don't know how to get through to her or what to do. I will keep trying.

You and others on here are special to me also. This is a big part of the reason why I keep fighting. Sending warm hugs xx ❤️

@Former-Member If you have time this evening try to listen to the song I put on this morning, it's very relaxing and it sounds like you need a bit of that arm.

No I can't paint at all, the pics are pressed flowers of a card I made, my present cross stitch and the beach rules I imported from the net. I wish I could paint, just rocks I'm afraid and basic at that.

Sorry you and hubby have the flu. Many are dropping like flies down this way, I have a cold which is bad enough. I hope you manage to take care of yourself also. The antibiotics for your husband should be good ones, I hope they work.

The daughter situation is going to take time and patience. She might be bluffing about the jail time, not believing it might actually happen. I sure hope it doesn't two of my brothers have spent time there and it's no fun at all.

When they threaten your daughters debts, do they explain the situation clearly to her? You are right, not a normal reaction at all, but you are the one doing all the worrying by the sound of things.

Im sorry you'll miss bingo tomorrow, you have a winning streak going and enjoy the company of good friends. What about Wednesday, any possibilities there?

I get the stitches out of my nose tomorrow. It will be good to have the dressing removed. Brushes are lightening. It's good to have my nose back to its original size.lol, and colour, well almost.

My friend is known all over the city for her outbursts, a difficult situation. She's not one to get into an argument with, she will always win and I will never argue, just buckle at the knees. I asked my counsellor if she had seen any backbones on sale during the week!!!!! She understands and listens, it's all she can do. I'm worn thin from being a doormat, but I'm trying my best. Fear is high.

Back to being very cold here, wet and windy. I got some blossom and pressed it this afternoon. I'll get a pic of my bulbs tomorrow and post them for you.

Drink plenty if you can and flush the flu through your system and plenty of rest. Thinking of you.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie - I did listen to the so g you posted, very soothing indeed, helped put me to sleep last night.

I am feeling so much better today. Had a good night's sleep and this can change so much for me - I cope better. So I went for a walk, cleaned house, took hubby to his podiatrist, came back home and cooked a home made pizza! So accomplished a lot. Only downside is daughter has locked herself in her room looking depressed and sleeping. Hope she hasn't taken anything as something has upset her. She won't talk to me. It's just ongoing - I wish she would stay away from bad company which causes a lot of this and then look for the proper help. I just can't see her fending on her on without a miracle!

The pressed flower card was gorgeous - it looked just like a painting! Never realised this could look so beautiful. Must try it.

Yes, we have explained the situation with our daughter. Her reaction is t normal. She does say she is taking care of it but I don't think this is true. Not much more I can do,

How did getting the stitches out go? Hope all went well. Falling over is a terrible feeling. Just glad you were not badly hurt.

What does your social worker advise when it comes to your friend? Our best is all any of us can do.

No possibility of bingo on Wednesday. Tomorrow I am going into my volunteer work instead of Thursday because it's busier, so it will be my first time on a Wednesday. Start at 10 to 4pm. Our manager is not returning our text messages so not sure what is going on there, I will find out tomorrow. I feel uneasy when people go funny on me. I get enough from my daughter. But I'm strong for now.

Its been quite warm here today which helps my energy levels a bit. I have problems with fatigue. Can't wait to see a pic of your bulbs. How was your day?

@Former-Member I feel like since I started posting here, I've scared all your other friends away, I'm gifted that way I think, everyone leaves, SORRY.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

Never think you scare anyone away, not at all. People still read and @Faith-and-Hope is there 👋. People come and go on here my friend and they are there when we need them when in a emergency. You and me made a special connection. And no one talks as much as me lol. You are a gift here my friend.

How has your day been? I did go to my volunteer work but my flu has flared up again. And my husband is worse again too, so perhaps we went back too soon. So it will be another couple of days of rest for us I think. I may sneak some cross stitch over that time. So will be not very exciting here for awhile.

My daughter is looking at sharing a house with some friends nearby. This was most unexpected as she is in debt, and this time she will really go for it. She still wants to keep regular contact and has already asked us to visit. So things are looking up for us all if this works out. Will keep you updated.

We have a manager at our shop that puts her heart and soul into running the charity food shop. She is the one that recently found out her cancer has returned. The chair lady and her are (should say were) really good friends. The chairlady just returned from a holiday and for some unknown reason told the manager she should think of retiring - just like that for no good reason. It has shocked us all. We are hoping it is just a bad day (the chairlady suffers depression). Cannot understand how people can treat each other this way. This has thrown me and makes me wonder if I can keep working there. I will see how it goes. Hopefully will blow over, but my manager is really upset and I am worried about her.

Never think you scare anyone away from here as that isn't true my friend. Your posts mean a great deal to me and I look forward to reading how you are now. We all have bad days and periods my friend and I am here for you whenever you need me. Sending a lot of love x❤️

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I did wonder about going back to work for you being too soon. We are so alike, we push so hard to get ahead. Please take some time to rest and do nothing if possible.

The work situation is a hard one, harsh actually. Hopefully you are right,Ma bad day. If it does't suit you, there will be somewhere that does with that heart of yours.

WOW @Former-Member your daughter moving out is a biggie!!!!! Things are looking up and fingers crossed it works out well for all of you.

Ive have a few days back in the dark pit AGAIN. I hate those days filled with negative thoughts and feelings. Just pushing through here.

I have a tulip bulb pushing through. Pink. Once it's a bit bigger I'll take a pic for you. Exciting news!!!

Snow down to 500m here. Cold. Yesterday the clouds were low full of snow and puffy. Then it poured with rain, then a double rainbow. Ah, there are moments sometimes.

@Former-Member Thankyou for your words, always so caring and healing. Coffee is calling, wish I could share one with you. Rest my friend. Warm hug.
